God i can't wait till Obama wins so we can get on with the ^^^^^ing for the first month and then the people who only come here to post (99% of the time in this section) will finally dwindle off and leave. (hopefully) I sense some bitter folks who are used to their party being the "one in charge" the past 8 years or so and now that's it's going to end don't like it much.

(i don't support either candidate, although if i had to pick it would be bama. But i can't wait till this ^^^^ ends finally!!)

Ventura 2012!!! (sound crazy? You seen the two currently running?)

Its not about party, its about policy. Obama plans on giving money from people who earned it to people who didn't.

Hate to break this to you, but McCain has been rising in the polls again, so I wouldn't count them chickens yet.

Back off the Gipper.
Obama wishes he had half his class.

I just find it amusing that Obama gets slammed and marginalized by Republicans for being loved by huge numbers of Americans with snide comments like "Jesus" "rock star" "Superman" etc. while Reagan was as equally if not more so revered by his supporters. I don't hear them bad mouthing Reagan the same way for being popular in his time. It's a bit of hypocrisy, just like the attacks on Obama for not wearing a flag pin.

It's ok for both sides to have a candidate from time to time that connects strongly with the people, I certainly don't fault Reagan for that, in fact it was his greatest strength.

We had years to get to know Reagan, as opposed to the political neophyte known as Obama.
Seriously why are Obamas supporters so enamored with him?
He hasnt done Jack Squat. He's still close to a blank slate, so I believe theyre projecting whatever hopes they have on him.

Celebrities influence.

Ok so we have Biden who is supposed to represent foreign policy experience warning that there will be a major crisis to test Obama within 6 months. And that his actions will seem like the wrong thing to do at the time.
We have Biden denouncing Obama during the primaries saying he lacked the experience and the presidency shouldn't be the place for on the job training.
We have Biden who says that the biggest issue is a 3 letter word, J-O-B-S.
We have Biden who asked the man in a wheelchair to stand up.
We have Biden saying he and his running mate support no coal refining.
We have Biden saying Hillary was the better pick for President AND VP.
And we are supposed to feel good about Biden's judgment to back up Obama? Despite the fact his judgment says Obama isn't ready?

And we have Palin criticized because she hunts moose but she only took on her own party, ousted an incumbent of her own party, has the highest approval rating of any governor.

We have Obama who claims it was Bush policies that led to the housing crisis, when it was clearly the Democrats own deregulation that did it.
We have Obama who was wrong about fixing Freddie and Fannie during his watch.
We have Obama who was wrong about the surge working.
We have Obama who said a tiny, invaded country should show restraint with its invaders.
We have Obama who wants to redistribute wealth when we have the example of Eastern Europe to show us it doesn't work.
We have Obama who wants to spread the wealth from those who have earned it to those who haven't.
We have Obama wanting to give checks to those who pay NO income tax already and he is taking the money from their payroll that is supposed to go to social security.
We have Obama who wants more new spending and increased government despite him saying government is the problem.
We have Obama who wants to increase foreign aid with our tax dollars.
We have Obama who associates with terrorists, criminals and racists.

We have McCain who wants to lower taxes and cut wasteful spending.
We have McCain who has a record of cutting wasteful spending and never voting for a tax increase.

We have McCain who was right on the surge.
We have McCain who was right about Freddie and Fannie.
We have McCain who was right about Putin.
We have McCain who stayed a POW for 5 extra years on principle.
We have McCain with the Keating Five for which he was cleared of wrongdoing but apologized anyway, yet Obama hasn't apologized for anything or even admitted he was wrong.

I'm just thinking out loud and trying to keep the score card up to date for the sake of clarity.

Why are people so enamored with Palin? Oh I forgot....some think she's a hottie.

Yeah, he couldn't possibly be having a laugh like the other million people who've taken the exact same picture.

The difference is the million others dont have supporters and media hailing them as our national savior.:monkey3

Thanks for sharing that but I don't think the Obama fans see that, because he is too awesome!

I'd rather be leading in the polls than behind. Just me though. In the end it is the electoral college.

I'm pretty sure that's the way Gore and Kerry felt in the days leading up to their respective elections too...how'd that work out for them? As long as the left wing media continues to poll two democrats for every one republican, the democrats will be leading in the polls. I suspect it'll be a different story come election day.

I get what you're saying, that polls don't matter. I agree polls mean little, but are you saying you would actually prefer being behind in every poll (including Fox News)? Like I said, I'd still prefer being ahead. Can't imagine anyone wouldn't. Unless of course complacency is what you mean. The Democrats are far more likely to be complacent thinking the race is over, which could help the Republicans.

Oh and Kerry was never ahead of Bush in the electoral college projections like Obama is:

Yep. Takes all the incentive of being successful and hard working out.

Its not about party, its about policy. Obama plans on giving money from people who earned it to people who didn't.

Pretty broad generalizations, saying that people who earn up to $75,000 "don't work as hard" as someone who happens to make more. Jobs with higher salaries than that aren't as common as a lot of people here seem to think, and let's face it, a whole lot of people who end up with that kind of dough are born into it one way or another.

I'm not making generalizations here - I'm just saying that not ALL people who have high salaries needed to work as hard to get them as some.
