I think we'll see it no matter which of these 2 get in. I think McCain would be less of a letdown though because there would be less expected of him than Obama. The hype on Barac is too great for anyone to live up to.

So I'm guessing all those supporters in favor of a socialist, including those here, are getting a head start on solving the problem by voluntarily giving money to the poor? Or are preparing to cancel all their SSC preorders to help fund this redistribution of wealth he has in mind

Perish the thought. Funding their pet social programs and global crusades with their own damn money? Nonsense. You can't satisfy powerlust that way.

That won't last. One year in and even the dems are gonna wonder "what the ^^^^ was I thinking?"

Well that's certainly true according to Biden's inspirational speech on the weekend. :lol You really have to wonder why anyone in their right mind would vote for Chairman Mao-Bama, when from the sound's of it his own VP candidate wouldn't. You think Biden might know something some of the people around here don't.

I wouldn't be surprised. It's not one-sided though. It's called buyer's remorse, and we saw it with Bush, and we're seeing it with Palin.

Sorry but Palin's the only breath of fresh air in this entire campaign [other than Biden and his comedy routine], and from the sounds of things the only one of the four who isn't willing to bankrupt the country.

Biden is being almost prophetic and its scary. Acknowledging that there will be some test...?

I hope I'm wrong, but I see that test being Israel and I hope we don't leave them on their own.

You're not wrong at all. You can pretty well guarantee terrorists will test Obama after the election , should he unfortunately win. And I have no doubt he will fail miserably just like Clinton did the numerous times he was tested.

I wouldn't worry about Israel though. They can, and will take care of themselves should it become necessary.

I was commenting on her falling approval ratings and poll numbers. She may well be a breath of fresh air, but her post-convention bump is gone and her approval ratings, even in Alaska, have dropped siginificantly over the past few weeks. This has nothing to do with her policies, but public perception. Buyer's remorse is definitely happening. Palin went from new and dynamic rockstar to a politician who is just as polarizing as Hillary Clinton.

As I stated before, you guys that think this is in the bag must just be paying attention to the most liberal polls out there. Latest AP polls have the race virtually tied. Carbo-fation being from Pa, as well as I am must really like hearing Gov. Rendell being worried that it is almost tied up here as well, with Obamas own poll numbers showing him being up by 2%. John McCain is far from out of this election.

You might want to start ignoring what you're hearing from the left wing media. Everywhere she goes, she is absolutely packing them in....it's standing room only. If Mccain could get half as many people show up for his speeches he'd be ecstatic. And I do find it refreshing having someone in the race who is an average, middle-class American. She's certainly more refreshing than the other three multi-millionaire eliteist clowns.

You must not be talking about me. I have never stated it was "in the bag." I have always thought it will be a very close race...

Oh and here are the polls from Real Clear Politics:

Fox News has Obama up 9. Not saying it is true, I don't think it is, but I wouldn't consider it a liberal poll.

I see this. I have never said anything about crowd size. Obama got 35,000 people in Independence Park in Pennsylvania, but ended up losing the state by 9 percentage points. I am just stating poll numbers. It is easy to say they are wrong and brought to you by the left wing media because some don't like the results, but results they still are. We have nothing but polls to look at until election day...

And last I checked Joe Biden was not a millionaire, let alone multi-millionaire.

"Change" always packs in spaces and generates coverage and talk. Look at all those supposed anti-war marches and protests.

The "current" policies and what not never draw crowds. This isn't surprising. There simply isn't a need to assemble over issues when their already the way you want them to be.

However, when it comes down to voting and decision making, the people interested in holding the status quo DO show up.

While the crowds gathering for Obama seem to be 10-1 to those for McCain, I don't necessarily think it means he's going to win and certainly not in a landslide.

If I remember correctly, Obama made 4.2 million just last year alone, with much of that coming from book sales. He has a 1.6 million dollar home.

McCain is worth somewhere between $25-38 million, factoring in a million dollar home, real estate holdings and his wife's family beer company fortune.

Palin's net worth is over $1 million.

Biden is a different story:

Sen.Joe Biden(D-Del.)

Net worth: $100,000-$150,000

Details: Biden has spent virtually his whole life in public service and does not have much else aside from investments in a small array of mutual funds and cash accounts. He received a $112,000 advance from Random House for a book in 2005.

Biden ranks as the poorest member of the U.S. Senate. The Center for Responsive Politics estimates his net worth is at most $277,000 (see Related Links for report). A more recent release of tax returns by Biden indicates a yearly income of $248,754 (see Related Links).

Yep. Thanks for the info. McCain owns 8 houses and 13 cars (largely due to the wealth of his wife, Cindy). Obama has more money than Palin, but mostly due to his two memoirs. Palin also makes a lot as Governor. Biden, on the other hand, makes enough, but is far from wealthy (especially in senate standards).

This could very well be true, but isn't McCain runing as a change agent himself? He has said it many times. And if Palin (like McCain) supposedly represents the staus quo, why is she drawing large crowds as well?

Because Palin is hot. Some would say MILFy. I would be a member of the aforementioned "some" faction. In fact, I'd say she looks like a for-hire secretary stripper.
