You guys are brutal. I give up. I hope you have a chance to see this in person and make your own judgement call. I for one, love this thing to death.

mine comes tomorrow and I can't wait to tear into it. One thing that bothers me about the lean is that the cape is blowing to his left, but he is leaning to the right - it just doesn't add up. But I agree the statue does look nice and those sculpts turned out great!!

I'm with you Fremen. The lean is nowhere near bothering me, in the least. It's as you said earlier, I think it was you. That he's sort of battling a Jundland Waste windstorm. Anyway...

I've finished assembling him, and am pretty much blown away. Glad I dove into the Mythos line. He's spectacular. Yeah, the missing unlit hilt is a bummer, but there's so much going on with this piece. I lost his little tassels that are blowing from his left boot trying to get the bag off the main section of statue. But I found it in one piece and it will be a simple reattach tomorrow. Unfortunately, the piece on the back with the Gaffi stick was broken. So I've got to go through the long arduous task of getting that replaced. And they better have some available, after not making the unlit hilt!

Initial impressions:

-Very happy overall to be getting polystone again after so long.
-Bigger than I expected, which might help curb me from getting all of the Mythos.
-Lean is not a problem, for me.
-Glad Ben was my first Mythos.
-Huge box. Did I say that already?
-I should not have assembled him downstairs. He's brutally heavy!
-Slightly worried about the base. Is it strong enough over time?
-Expensive? Yes, maybe $300 would have been just right. But he is big.
-The cape is just massive, massive!
-Have yet to read the story on the COA, which is different than what's online.
-Saber too small, yep. I gently tried to remove it. No way!
-Broken Gaffi stick. You got me back Fremen!

What else is there to say.

Yeah, the unlit hilt would be nice. Maybe we can get it off the ground in the other thread...

So tired, gotta crash. :thud:

No, I think that is how it would be, unless I'm mistaken. Picture a newscaster delivering the weather from the edge of a hurricane, like they like to do. The rain coat is blowing in one direction, so the newscaster is leaning into the wind.

Right? :wave

sometimes I reread what I type and think :slap. Touche`, Fury, Touche`

I would really want them to fix the lean before they replaced the saber.

When I get mine, if it leans really bad I'm returning it. It looks very strange. Taking the money and buying Poison Ivy.

I would just like to know WHY they did this. What is the logic? What was accomplished?

Also, why add that lean? Corporations can find a way to ruin anything. Always tinkering. Guess what sideshow.....

You Blew It!

I have some ideas. Why not ship the executioner with a rifle, and ship boba fett witout his helmet on, and lets dress vader in a pink god damn dress and give him a feather duster instead of a light saber you asses.

I would do anything to have a talk with the moron who thought this was a good idea. You bone headed buffoon.
Some stuffed shirt desk jockey who knows nothing about collectors or what we want made this cost cutting decision so he could get a better bonus.

I'm spitting fire over this......

And you all wonder why Sideshow doesn't listen? Not hard to understand why with disrespect like this. :slap

I cancelled this because I did not want a saber in old Alec Ben's hand...I wanted him wandering the desert carrying everything including that now missing saber...SS Fuucd up big time IMHO...unacceptable for me for the exact look I wanted

Any chance of you getting your NRD back? I mean, you preordered under the assumption you would be getting everything that was promised in their listing. I can only imagine what their reasoning would be to deny someone their NRD should they decide to cancel.

Respect works both ways. They showed no consideration to their customers by not divulging the fact that the hilt would no longer be included with the statue. Instead they allow all of their customers to find out through other customers on a forum. I think they've earned some sarcastic remarks aimed towards their shady business practices.

As said above, respect works both ways.
The matter is not the little piece of plastic that is missing -even tho it's an important piece on this statue-, it's the fact that this statue has been delayed and they had all the time to inform us that a piece was not to be included anymore. Because that's how HONEST people work.
And, for what reason? Unknown. On a $349 statue, they cut off a little piece that for them wouldn't cost anything to produce.

I live in Europe guys, this statue is €349 for me, almost $450. And I seriously should pay OTHER MONEY to commission a custom hilt? This is crazy.

Also, what hurts the most, is: I can't really imagine the stupid, dumb idiot who decided not to include the hilt. What were they expecting? That we wouldn't notice? That we spend a s**tload of money like a bunch of full retards? This is such a bad decision, such a pointless move, that really, I feel insulted.

SS screwed up again? Wow, what a surprise. Not. I've read enough. The hanging lightsaber was withheld from the statue. The pose is different. And some people received there's with an ES error? Final product may vary from the prototype. I'm glad I didn't order this piece. When something sounds too good to be true it usually is but with SS that's always the case nowadays. Pathetic.

Not good enough really. This was the only one I was interested in but the more I see this line the more I think it's way overpriced (especially since I'm paying oversea's rates as it is) just because it's Star Wars. These little niggles made my up.

GL to those that have it though. Hope you enjoy it.

I'm worried about last comments.

This thing is pretty awesome! Paint job, likeness, sculpt, pose, accessories, all of this elements are amazing!

Congrats fremen! I can't wait to get mine!

Sorry but this comparaison is a pure garbage, because a french collector received today this statue and you can see it's perfect :

Thank Sana for this picture.

Seems like the lean is only really noticeable from the one angle and I don't see many people posing him looking straight to the viewer.
