I'd be very interested in how HT plans to put those hair on his arm and chest. I hope they won't give us a smooth wolvie like what they did with rambo's rubber body.

I'll get this as Wolvie is my favorite. I don't know every detail of his history but I love the character.

It'll probably be drawn on, like it is on Medicom's comic Wolvie (but just done better). Although I don't know if that'll work on a muscle body.

It'll look really weird if it were drawn like the medi ones. Or maybe they'll just do what they did with the AVP elder preds and make the us stick it on our own.

I hope they don't use the muscle body. He isn't Chris Redfield huge. I'm really hoping for a Sabertooth. Leiv Schriber looks amazing as Sabertooth. Favorite Marvel character.

I prefer the look of the muscular body (Rambo) vs a TT if Wolvie is in leather jacket with wife beater.

I am glad HT got the line, I am excited to see what they have to offer.

Well he should at least be Hugh Jackman huge. I'll probably get Wolverine. Not sure about Sabretooth yet.

Seeing as Hot Toys seems to like releasing figures in 3, I'm going to guess we'll see a Wolverine, a Sabertooth, and likely a Gambit.

I...think, Wolverine, Sabertooth and Deadpool.:banana:D

I think you're right but I think you won't see this Deadpool:

Which is why they'll keep teasing it until the film is in full release for a bit, the cat is out of the bag and they'll move forward.

DAMN! No 1 on my list of wanted figures from HT!! This is HUGHge news!! I can not wait. If the movie is good I'll buy more than just Wolverine, but a Hugh Jackman Wolverine done in his look from Origins is all I could ever really want from an X-Men movie line to be honest.

Muscle body with Jeans and a wifebeater and his trademark yellow striped leather jacket. I can't wait to see how they do his hands! It would be amazing f they were real steel claws that could be inserted between the knuckles of interchangeable hands (with the muscle body skin material) as opposed to interchangeable hands with claws.

It woul be great if Hot toys could figure out a convincing way to do body hair on the body. Either way this is so exciting! I havn't even seen it yet but I can not wait to buy this figure!

Muscle body anyone? No? yes?

on a super athletic, highly agile super hero? Hell no. Muscular or not, Wolverine needs to be able to asume a large variety of poses that the muscular body, even the newer cut shoulder version would never work for, and not allow.

Actually I'm thinking it might be that character but not that look. Say what you want about that Mortal Kombat inspired look....it'd be an impressive look for a 1:6 figure.

and just like the transformers live action designes, i'l likely not buy one. Dudepeal is not deadpool... but if the leifield interview is to be beleived... then we might see something else.

I am up for a Logan, Sabertooth, Gambit and Deadpool BC (before craziness).

I am sure several characters could have a Dlx version but not too concerned with that at the moment. I want some early pixs of Logan and whomever :banana
In a recent interview about his charaters inclusion in the film, and the posibility of a deadpool spinoff, Leifiled made some enteresting comments about additional deadpool sceens. go read the comments.

If you dropped Wolverine into the ocean, far away from any shore or shallow water, would he drown? The adamantium in his body would make swimming impossible, right? Is that the only way to kill Logan?

I've read enough Wolvie and X-Men stories over the years (not a lot of them, but enough) to know that Wolverine's powers have become ridiculously overpowered. I mean, in the beginning, a few gunshots would take over an hour to heal. Now, he can freakin' be damaged so that 1 ^^^^ing cell remains and he'll still regenerate. Hulk could rip Wolverine's muthafuggin spine in half and the bastard would still be kicking in a few minutes.

Death has no dominion over Wolverine. It's ridiculous.

Would a real Wolverine fan elaborate on this?

Wolvie is very, VERY stron. also, the adamantium covering his bones is only as thick as it needs to be. therefore, it's not very heavy.
there are some issues of the comic where he does swim. Speaking as an idiot who has jumped into a swimming pool wearing a suit of armor, it's possible to swim while covered in metal, it's just not very easy, and floating is out of the question.

wolvies healing vactor is no longer as super powered as it used to be. there was a reason explaned as to why he was nigh immortal. appearently, during world war one, he "kills" the angel of death on a battlefield. this makes it so that he cannot be claimed, and allows him to return from the dead. In "recent" issues of wolverine's series, he talks about dying, fighting a strange manin a coat, beating him, and then comming back from the dead. this happens every time something "kills" him. This man is the angel of death, and inorder to be able to claim wolverine, he must beat him.

Wolverine eventualy trades his immortality to Death forsomething, though I forget what. after this, his healing ability is greatly reduced.

Is wolvie having bone claws canon? Or was that forgotten and pushed aside?

I hope it's just one of those marvel blunders that doesnt apply to this day.

Bone Claws are canon.

The muscle body is quite poseable. (you've obviously never seen edwindt's Rocky 4 pics) And with the newer ones i wouldn't even sweat it, i think it would work just great.

For those opposing the muscle body, you don't mind exposed joints? That would be a deal breaker for me and I'd have to pass.

Two things. One Liefeld is an attention whore, always has been, always will be. He really does think that he is God's gift to comics, I've heard him speak at a couple of conventions and while he does give credit to others in the industry you get that vibe from him in person so its no doubt that he wants himself out because he did in fact co-create the character. He really isn't doing anything new but stoking the fires.

Second, the Deadpool character was alway intended to be a solo project which is why Reynolds was cast because he best fit the way they envisioned it in the comics. Even before one shot was done with Wolverine people were asking Reynolds if a Deadpool movie would conflict with a Flash movie (he was a huge contender when Goyer was scripting and set to direct) and he said he loved both characters and would like to be attached to both. Early drafts had Deadpool transforming into the Baraka beast from the trailers then after being defeated ripping the "blades" from his forearms and cutting a hole for his mouth before moving on showing the beginnings of the Merc with a Mouth that we know and love. I don't know if that made it into the workprint or even final print because I've stayed away from it or even if it'll be an after the trailers kind of thing but there was always a push for Deadpool to go on.

The Wolverine film has a lot riding on it, greenlighting the "X-Men Origins: Magneto" film will depend on how well Wolvie does at the box office, there is also the rumored Deadpool film, rumored X-Men Origins: First Class even rumored one shots for characters like Emma Frost and Cyclops if this film does phenomenal. Most insiders have confirmed that Fox wants to see if fans will show up for one character and not just group pictures not to mention that Lauren Donner has indicated that an X-Men 4 is in the works and that some of what occurs in Wolverine may carry into that film (many think she is referring to the final look of Deadpool as well as some other characters).

I would imagine that Wolverine will do okay and move ahead but the Deadpool thing will directly depend on how this film does and if it does well we'll see another film with Deadpool starring probably announced within the next year or so.

it's not bad, but go and look ad edwint's poses of other characters. Like comic spidey, and comic wloverine. you'll never get poses like that out of the muscle body. or show me a pic of a muscle body figure with his arms raised completely over his head.
As for the newer muscle body, it's an improvement, but i agree that it dosn't seem right for wolverine. FAR TOO beefy.
Some of the main articulation that would be essential to wolverine that is lost on a muscle body is mid-torso. trying to get a crouched, bent over pose out if it is very difficult, if not impossible.

For those opposing the muscle body, you don't mind exposed joints? That would be a deal breaker for me and I'd have to pass.

Exposed joints never bothered me. If i wanted something without joint's I'd be a statue collector. if I'm buying a figure, then I'm buying it for articulation. If an exposed joint makes a figure have MORE articulation, then I'm all for it.

suffice to say, if wolvie ends up on a muscle body, it's no issue for me, I'll just get a regular truetype, and swap him over, or even a pro body, as wolverine should be short, and then ebay the muscle body, or trade it for another truetype. Easy fix, so I don't care which body he comes on, I'd just rather not have to do it in the first place.

Depending on how good the articulation on the Dutch/Chros redfield body is, i may be swapping them to regular truetypes as well.
they don't need super articulation like wolverine would, so i'm ok with them being a little restricted.

Wouldn't it be possible to simply transfer vital parts plus the clothes over onto a normal True-type body? If so I think it should come with a muscle body since I don't ever see those on sale whereas true-types are available every few months.

There is a normal truetype under the Muscle body. Its a rubbery covering. It can be pulled off fairly easy.
