There is a normal truetype under the Muscle body. Its a rubbery covering. It can be pulled off fairly easy.

That's what I used to think but someone, I believe in the Hellboy thread, posted pics of the armature that goes under the muscle body.....

EDIT:
I remember someone posted a pic on OSW of what's underneath. I'll see if I can find it.

Really huh.....I thought I remember seeing a pic of Krauser with the muscle body removed and it was just a TT. I'll have to search for them.

It may vary. Hellboy definitely feels like THICK rubber. I have read people refer to mixed bodies - rubber arms just for the exposed areas. HB is my first muscle body.

I don't have Krauser admittingly so I can't say with certainty but thinking about it it wouldn't surprise if he was under the same armature as HB. I guess you would need a TT to do a swap then.

omg i cannot wait til wolverine is realeased lets hope for a nightcrawler huh ?

Sorry to burst your bubble but Nightcrawler is the longest of shots at this point. I would expect an Origins Gambit before an X2 Nightcrawler.

Yeah, Nightcrawler would be high on my list too but it's about as unlikely as it gets. Even if they made another X-Movie Alan Cumming did not have a good time playing Mr. Wagner.

further referencing edwint, some of these poses would not be possible on a muscle body.

Sure they could.(except the crazy ed ones) Most of those are just basic stances. And even the crouched ones can be done with the muscle body. Sure, you won't be able to do spidey poses but it's wolverine you don't need to. I mean you won't be able to get crazy, but the average collector don't pose like edwindt! (the only question is do you want to leave the rubber body in those poses for a long period of time) My point is it is restrictive yes, but not nearly as restrictive as you're indicating.

This link shows full well what you can do

If this pose can be done so can those.

Wolverine wearing a wifebeater wouldn't look good without a HT 'muscle body'.

I have a feeling we'll get a muscle body like Krauser with the white wifebeater and leather jacket over that.

I'm all for the muscle body. It would be easy to swap over to a standard Truetype and a flannel under the jacket if you want more articulation. It's a lot harder to locate a reasonably priced muscle body if you want to display him in just the beater.

That pic is one of the MAJOR reasons I don't like the rubber muscle body. the elbow joints are just fla p pieces of semi-hard metal that bend. those will eventualy break.

I know the pic you're reffering to about krauser BTW, it was just krauser swapped over to a regular truetype.

Which is why i'm fine with him comming on a muscle body, as this is what I'll do.

All deends. i tend to prefer the " crazy ed" poses you're reffering to. as i said, SOME can be done, but no big deal. Like i said, i'll swap him to a regular truetype if he's on a muscle body.

as for truetype arms looking "bad" if exposed in a wifebeater shirt...

that's all a manner of perspective

Hopefully he'll have the Dutch body. That way, the wifebeater will cover the shoulder seams, but the rest will be muscle. :)

The quality of the movie will not sway the want for a Logan (muscular), S-Tooth (TT) and Deadpool (muscular). Others characters welcome :D

I hope the movie spawns a few more choices than HT TDK series. The TDK series provided 6 (or 10 kitbash) figs based on 3 character choices.

It's not just the arms that will look bad but the neck/collar area as well. The wifebeater Wolverine wears in Origins hangs much lower around the collar, closer to almost mid-chest. A regular tru-type has that gap around the base of the neck, it's a bit unappealing.

omg, the Rocky pic just made me think of something. What if they decide to do Blobby!!:lol Could it be done? Would you buy him?

They could probably just use rubber arms then stuff his shirt and pants to make him look fat. Then just use rubber for his lower legs. I think its possible:monkey1
