Even though I believe the Medi Wolvie was my first 1/6 scale fig, I welcome a Hot Toys Wolvie. Now if they make a Wade, then I shall bow once again. Hot Toys keeps coming to the rescue when it comes to comic book flicks. TDK and Iron got great figs, I don't expect anything less from HT.

as for truetype arms looking "bad" if exposed in a wifebeater shirt...

It looks OK for Luke, but have you seen Jackman?

He's ripped.

Those flat none detailed arms won't work showing off the the muscularity of the Wolverine!

He's coming on a muscle body anyways. :monkey5

I'd Say he's Toned, not ripped, and CERTIANLY not as big as the dutch muscle body with the Ahnold beefy muscles

which is the body they'd need to use to keep it nicely articulated imo. but even then, with as much as i change the poses on my figures, a body who's ellbo joint i s made of a flat semi-flexable piece of metal is not going to last very long on me.

No thank you, To a regular truetype with you Hugh:)

for those of you who WANT him ona muscle body, I do hope you get what you want. I don't mind swapping him over to a standard body. Nothing against those of you who like the muscle body, but i hate them completely, and totaly. I still MIGHT swap over RE5 chris when I get him, Dutch is the only one i 'd consider leabing on that body, as he's not exactly an action star as far as dynamic poses go.

on the up side, with all the love that tese bodies get, it'll be easy to sell it :)

He needs to be on a muscle body - the exposed joints (especially around the neck) on a true-type won't look right. It doesn't have to be the Arnold body - they've created some special sleeves for Abe from Hellboy that aren't as big as the Arnold arms, I'm sure they'll create a body that looks right for Hugh Jackman.

He's a lot beefier in Wolverine than he was in either X-movie. My fiancee saw a commercial the other day that showed him jumping out of the tank and said "Woah, are those his real muscles or CGI?!"
So of course I flexed and my shirt exploded and she forgot what she was talking about. :rock
:monkey2

Just give me a Wolverine decked out like this, on a standard True Type so he can be posed without fear of the muscle body breaking.

I'd always prefer a standard TT. Even on Hellboy, which is my favorite figure EVER, I love the sculpt on the rubber body but I'm working on a modified TT to switch him onto. I'm an articulation junky when it comes to 1/6.

IMO: I prefer the look of the muscular body however, I prefer the articulation and durability of the TT. I think Rambo's body would work well for Wolverine.

The best body depends on the clothes, accessories etc. of the figure produced. Logan in jeans, flannel, and jacket a TT would work fine. Logan in jeans, wife beater and jacket a muscular body would look the best.

HT next enhancement should be for a more durable muscular body with more articulation. I am sure they never thought of that idea :D

I can see them doing one with the wifebeater, red shirt, and jacket. Which I think would use a normal body because of the layers. Then another version with a muscle body and just the wifebeater.

Though they probably could use a muscle body (NOT Dutch sized) and just have the wifebeater and jacket.

I hope the pixs are coming soon, like Friday!!!! At this point, I do not care which body it is on. HT has no problem getting that part right, no worries.
