Wor-Gar...any movement towards her arrival for you? It's just so bizarre that us east coasters are getting her ahead of you...

Yeah, I got my Quantum finally last night -- she should arrive sometime today. I don't know what happened this time around. I hope this isn't the new schedule for all my SS stuff now.

Not sure if I have time for my usual shots though -- I'm packing up for Vegas in the morning. She might have to wait until Monday for the whole "reveal" thing.

Well, it looks like Leia to me...

As everyone who has received this has said... it's a really amazing figure. The mixed media in the outfit is great. Body scale looks improved and works perfectly. And I really like those pants. Helmet is awesome.

I have no time to "toy" with her today, but come Monday...

Overall: a super home run! Best overall figure since Maul... and this might be even better due to the realistic human sculpt, detailed hair highlights and, at long last, successful "dirt deco".

Yep, sure does. You got a great one too. Don't you think she looks more like Carrie than the proto? Mine does for sure, I think its the subtle difference in the eyes, paint apps wise, but a great Carrie likeness, certainly the Best SS SW Human figure produced yet IMO.

Did any word come out in the forums about who sculpted her? I don't think that was published on the SSC site.

Thanks guys! Yeah, she's definitely better than the proto pics in hand. A real surprise. I like it so much and it looks so real, I have to pose her 'helmet-off' now. She's too good to cover up.

And the outfit is insane. I'd put this figure in the LOTR league of successful complexity!!!

Whatever factory did the paint apps here -- LET'S KEEP THEM!

Hi praise from WG! Yeah SS, let's try to keep the QC going here...

That statement alone says volumes, and is my main belief in why LOTR line runs slower, because there is added complexity. I don't think SSC does bad with Star Wars clothing, they've done well, but other than the Endor Troops, and even they not as much as this seems, none of the characters done or previewed have had overly elaborate costumes in the films, in fact for all the detail in creatures and environments, Star Wars costumes were fairly simple, though stylish and many interesting, the overall elements were mainly simple clothes and the more ""complex"" outfits were mainly just layered clothes, like the Endor troops with jackets and shirts and etc. I think it'll take various bounty hunters or more elaborately dressed PT political characters to make the Star Wars line shine for SSC's clothing work, otherwise it comes down to headsculpts, paint, and accessory quality to really make a statement.

Leia is a pretty sweet figure. Skin tone is fantastic, likeness is percect, and the detail is just insane really. I'm thinking of getting a second to display the helm on the figure because of how nice it all looks. My only complaint is the elbow in the right arm seems to be loose which will cost a .5 point when I do my review.

Josh, obviously it's your only frame of reference, but do you really rank figures for your reviews based on yours specifically like that or do you score the pieces overall and just use yours as a reference point?

I use mine as a frame of reference mostly. Which is why I wait a bit from getting it to review incase as I look and mess with it I can mull over my thoughts.

Oh alright. Well, I just got home and am taking her out as we speak. A good surprise, the helmet is much lighter than I had anticipated. The colors and quality of the outfit materials aren't reflected well in photos, and the eyes have the usual Sideshow quality I've come to enjoy (some photos haven't shown off the gloss well and I was concerned about Yavin Luke eyes. I'm also happy to see good old matte paint for the skin tones.

She's great!! Photos are not doing this justice or at least mine aren't. :lol

I brightened mine up a little.

And just to note cuz I haven't seen anyone point it out yet, sorry if it has been, but the rippled cummerbund-type piece of the outfit is actually all unique piece, it's not a solid rubber mass like I expected from images, they really put a lot of effort into this piece, and it paid off.
