Got back from work tonight and Leia was waiting for me! Not everyday you can say that :lol

Anyway, overall a really great figure, some of the straps hang a little loose and those cannisters keep popping off. But aside from that she is an excellent figure and in person really doesn't have that much of a bobble going on. She might be a smidge too big... but just barely.

Anyway here's some shots:

And for all the sickos out there waiting on Wor Gar here's a body comparison between the new body and old. You can really see a ton of aesthetic improvements to the body with more natural curves and less obvious cut joints... also the body does seem to hang more naturally than the older body.

I prefer the new one, but I'm sure preference is "In the Eye of the Beholder" :lol:rotfl

(For the record I had no intention of undressing the figure initially, but some twisted limbs necessitated my actions)

Yep... one advantage I guess would be more natural looking breasts and nips, but on most clothed figures thats a moot point.

It looked like it did but since it's nearly midnight here I thought maybe my eyes where just getting tired.

A commendable effort, galactiboy, but it just ain't the same without that kitchen sink in the background.

This is a really nice figure. It feels like it's easier to pose. And the costume quality is just amazing. I'm so glad that I didn't cancel it. I'll have to do pics tomorrow.

Don't worry, no intention of stealing the masters thunder :lol

And a few more notes on the figure I forgot to mention earlier. The arms a kinda long around the forearms. Whats interesting is about 3/4 of the length of the forearm there is a plug that allows the rest of the forearm with the wrist and hand (hand is actually glued to the material of the glove) to attach. So with this all together her forearm is very long, but all the material hides this and its not noticeable.

Also the face on Leia does look nice, but they have gone with a monotone (similar to Yavin Luke) skin again, which could be better with some highlights and shadows. Luckily the skin tone is better than Yavin Luke, and speaking of skin tone they do not appear to have tried to color match the body to her head.

I'm mildly impressed. Now it makes me wonder if they'll re-do the male body accordingly. I'm also anxious to see if they Obi-Wan a little pudge. Guiness had a belly on him, probably from guiness.

I imagine they probably will. No sense in having an inferior body when they can clearly produce a better one.

I would guess the new hobbit bodies will be similar to this design than the old Bucks.

Got mine..err yesterday. A good effort, but still don't like sideshow bodies. Neck/shoulder armor should be bigger. Belts fixed for movie accuracy.

Great pics carrot....

I think everyone is nitpicking at this point but I think she's quite the fantastic female character debut for this line. She looks great! C'mon monday....

Out for delivery :) I can't wait to shoot her tonight, already got some fun stuff planned. I understand the comment about the body and face colors not matching, but I'm sure Sideshow didn't care because it's not a figure where you should ever see the underlying body. Between being tired of work and wanting to check out Boushh, I really wish I was home now haha.

Totally agree, although you can see the difference between the neck and regular head sculpt... but its only if you are really looking.

I think so far this is the most visually interesing 1/6 SW figure they've produced and they've shown they can do a great job with the more complicated outfits.
