Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Definitely a Rambo 4 bust, most likely from Edinho, I'd guess life size, who knows. If done right, I will totally get it, I'd love a Rambo 4 1:1 bust, but it needs to look intense, his Rambo 3 bust just lacked any sort of agression to the portrait, it looks to passive and relaxed to represent Rambo.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

I think it's a more relaxed look based on what we can see with the lips so far.

I remember speaking with Bobby C a while back and he had a Stallone in mind for his next project,i suggested a "Yo Adrian i did it" with raised arms bust which he liked but this bust can very well be from him too.I sent a Message to Edinho just now asking if that is done by him and if i know him right,he might send a few pics my way.
He hadn't posted any pics of this over at statueforum though, which he usually does, even before HCG announce it sometimes,so yeah i think this could be Bobby C as well.

Lifesize or 1/3,doesn't really matter to me.1/3 is easier to make room for though :lol

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

So no chance this is a figure? Everyone leaning towards a bust?

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Well, I like Edinho's work at 1/6 and 1/4 scales, but so far, not sold on his bust work, however, I love Bobby C's busts so if this is his doing, I think I'll be really happy with it.

It's absolutely not a figure, HCG doesn't do figures. It's a statue/bust, and it looks like only a right arm so unless it's a early development shot, it's a bust, looks similar to the style of the Rambo 2 bust with one arm holding a knife up.

I meant statue, sorry.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

I would say it's very likely a bust, they've already done 1/6 and now 1/4 statues for Rambo 4, it makes sense to add a bust now since they're covering that movie in just about every product type they offer.

I think what's more in question is scale, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4 or 1/1. My hope is 1/1, but if it's not, then I'd like it to be 1/3 so it can work as a companion to the Rambo 2 bust already released.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

If that's a figure, where is the rest of his upper body?

No this is a bust for sure, not sure how long that sneak peek have been up on their site as i rarely check it but it could be a long time before we see anything more.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Guys how do you rate the Rambo M65 Jacket version? is it worth? How much would you pay for it? thanks

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

No not me either.Rambo 1 and 3 is fine but stay far away from Rambo 2,you will strongly regret it.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Isn't Rambo 2 and 3 made of the same material?

Both my Rocky 4 and Rambo 3 were getting 'tacky' (sticky) when I sold them.....I didn't even know what that meant at the time, wasn't until I joined here that I found that meant they were beginning to degrade.

While ultimately I'd like to get rid of them, I've never had an issue with tacky bodies on FB Rambo, Rambo III, Duth or Krauser.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

That figure needs some serious remaking, as that is crap by today's standards. Yes, I know, I know...

Back then...

Well, today is not back then, and at this point, obsolete is being nice to that figure.

:exactly: A Rambo Dx would be a dream figure for me but I'm surprised we never got a Rambo 4, hopefully with all the love Barney got HT have taken note.
