Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Yeah, that would be me:eek:

How old were you in that picture as Rambo? I was 14 when Rambo II came out in theaters the summer of 1985. Me and my two younger brothers painted a Russian soldier from the movie on a big piece of plywood, and shot our BB guns at it and threw some "ninja throwing stars" at it! It was fun! I remember that to this day, and now I'm 36 years old. :D

Great job!!!!! I love the last one!

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

Thanks King. I find this figure to be a little more challenging to get impact with through photos because so much of the impact at that point in the film wasn't so much Stallone's acting or the camera angles, but really Jerry Goldsmith's music; you take the music away and it's just a guy in an army jacket basically.

I love the figure, BUT I'm really losing favor for Hot Toys humans with their new body. It seems like they're going for more articulation in the shoulders, but the shoulders are ending up far too wide and it's ruining their human figures in my opinion. Rambo looks too wide in the shoulders, Jack Sparrow looks to wide. Their old bodies like they had for marines such as Hicks was quite good for articulation and anatomical correctness, but I'm like this new one less and less with each figure.

Re: Official Hot Toys Rambo Line Thread

I use a $100 Sanyo. Its a 5.0 megapixel, thats about all I know, its nothing special at all. Its all about lighting I think, and never using flash, ever.

But Maul Fan is the resident pix expert.

Thanks, bro. I've been lurking here for awhile and I have to agree I, Maul Fan's pics are amazing.
