Oh man Hot Toys is opening up a brand new can of worms with mini-busts now... that is FANTASTIC!!!! Look at all the detail right down to the pores!!

They're just taking it to a WHOLE new level.

Based on photos from sideshow and peoples own, it doesn't seem to come close to the level of accuracy and detail in Hot Toys sculpt. I think sideshow is slipping on a lot of things. Their human sculpts are a hit and miss, sideshow is really good at capturing the likenesses of aliens, creatures, animals, etc. But that is because there is no exact likeness for them even if they are basing it off an image. You can make the Thing look different than the cover of a certain comic book, yet it will look damn good enough to be the Thing (if that makes sense?). But with a human there is one and only one likeness and Sideshow sculptors just do not seem to have that special touch that Hot Toys sculptors have.

For me Hot Toys is just it, I know this is a Sideshow site and I can respect that but there is nothing Sideshow has that I need or want! Hot Toys is simply an amazing company, this bust is just the icing on the cake for a Rambo fan like myself!

Sideshow is still amazing, just not my cup of tea. They do make some awesome stuff though.

I just finished watching 3:10 to Yuma, Bale and Crowe were awesome teamed up in this flick, I loved it man! As for "Best" actors past or present nobody touches Pacino!

Stallone is an amazing entertainer and has amazed me these past 2 years! Bale simply rules too!

Same here,there is nothing close in the same way,Enterbay have made som fantastic Bruce Lee and Jet Li figures,but they are only going Martial Arts.

Well, I'll admit a lot of Hot Toys likenesses are dead on to the actors, but I've found plenty of Sideshow sculpts to be on the mark too and I find the Rambo bust to be perfect. The Hot Toys bust is more stern and generic in expression, which probably helps seeing it some, where the SSC bust has him almost frozen in a moment about to swing his knife at someone.

Yeah the Bust from SS is very nice,i like that one better than the upcoming Plastic bust from HT,but with the figures,i just dont like them enough to buy one.

The HT bust is pretty sweet too, I like it. That said, I still love the SSC version.. Got to love that action pose.

I hope we see a Rambo (IV) Hot Toys figure too, I just makes sense to make, its a brand new movie so why not? Call me a dreamer but I REALLY REALLY hope Hot Toys also makes a Sheriff Will Teasle as well!

I think they could get away with RAMBO Rambo on the same old muscular body, they used it for First Blood even though Stallone was really just an average body type in that film, but it worked and since the new film has him in a t-shirt, it'd be no biggy. I just really want one soon, especially after next Friday once I've seen the movie. ROCKY BALBOA Rocky on the other hand will require a new body, but somehow I have a feeling that line may be finished, they haven't displayed anything new in some time.

If it were a design of sorts like Sideshow had done it'd be one thing to put the bust up that, but where it's just generica black structure, it definitely detracts from the overall look because there's more of it than the bust itself. Best to make the bust the most prominent part.
