OK, here's a quick couple pictures from this morning...a little brighter with the daylight... this first picture really shows the scale of the Mynock...

I've noticed a few nitpicky things that I want to fix -- which means stripping him down again. I'll try to get to those "requests" once I have him where I want him.

I also want to pose Han with Luke, and with my custom Chewbacca!

:D

Hey W-G, I have a special request (again!) Can you please try to take a shot of Han with this iconic pose? This pic is too grainy and I really want to see him from this angle, if possible. Thanks bro, (Again!) :D

Looks like they swapped out the boots for Dragons. I plan to do the same.

Soooooo do people still think the Mynock isn't worth 5 bucks???

So sad for those that passed to save a few pennies. , , , , ,
I agree... the Mynock looks to be the best of all the exclusives.

You mean the sculpt as poor as you feel for yourself. Because your assessment is only an opinion not fact. Just because you feel it is a poor sculpt doesn't make it so and the way your post reads it sounds as if everyone has to feel this way.

I'm going to say this as nice as I possibly can, Josh: Please don't start anything with me just because I presented an opinion.

At no point did I say it was anything other than my opinion. Hence, the reason I said that I'm relieved that I didn't buy it.

I'm happy for those collectors who bought it and like it. More power to them. All of our collections should be different. If they were the same, then this hobby would not only be very boring, but it'd be a constant feeding frenzy with trying to get everything because we'd all be buying the same things.

More and more often as of late, I've seen you go after people and add to flame wars because they had a critical opinion. Personally, it's tiring and frustrating to see.

At no point did I criticize other collectors. At no point did I suggest I was presenting facts. In fact, the belt tightness was actually repeating an earlier assessment made by someone who did buy it. At no point was I looking to provoke your response.

So unless I suddenly turn into a belligerant, raving lunatic who is personally criticizing/attacking other board members or condemning them for their likes and dislikes, please don't give me the same crap you give other people.

And to everyone else, I'm sorry I had to waste a posting on this (and for my use of the word "crap"...ahh crap I used it ag...ahhh and again!!! :)

Thank you :)

My dear Josh, he did say "as I initially assessed;" leave the man be. For what it is worth, I still think the head is too large, esp when viewed in total with the figure, but I suppose I will still wait to see mine in-hand. :monkey1

I don't understand why things need to be taken to a personel level. "You mean the sculpt as poor as you feel for yourself." The man is entitled to his own opinion. There is no need for giving/taking insult. ;)

LOTRFan, pixeltwin (and pjam as well), thank you guys very much for your comments. I'm happy to see that at least some people took my post for what it was meant to me: one collector's opinion.

Thanks, fellas. :chew

It read to me like it was how HE felt. Can't we just assume when someone says something, it's just their opinion, regardless of how they phrase it? He did say "I" and "me" not "us," "we" or "you."

Dang, that Mynock looks good!!! :)

As for the head, it does look too big, but is that because of the hair sculpt standing so high?

I think in this case its because I'm looking slightly down on Han. The scale of the head looks fine in person. Actually, when posed with Luke, Luke's head looks large. Pix coming...

Here's HAN compared to LUKE...

Han is clearly taller, but the body scale isn't perfect since they use many of the same scaled pieces (torso, legs, etc). Still, it will work fine on the shelf... I mean, these are dolls after all.

Whoops! I mean, "action figures".

Thanks for the iconic pose dupe shot W-G, that's pretty darn close! (head angle is what I was looking for)

Great pics WG. Way cool of you to be doing all this stuff (yeah, like its not fun for you too! :lol )... Like I said before, I can't wait to get this one. Thanks for tiding me over! :p

You can definitely achieve that exact pose. Mine is crouched slightly forward so he'll stand up on his own. As you can see in the Chinese pic, Han is propped up by the white wall behind him.
