Hi guys I am new to this but I have bought batman and iron man in the last two days. Why is it so hard to find Hot toys Superman I saw 2 for over $400 and one for $300? Is that the norm? And when you do get them where do you send the head to be repainted? Thank you for the help? Oh and I here of a Chris Reeve figure but I have seen nothing concrete is it a fact? thanks

Its the norm if the figure is out of production, and therefore increases its value. Normally Hot toys figure range from $150-180. But there is no designated area to send your figures heads to be repainted. But im sure there are many talented people on this board that would gladly repaint your figure for a price.

Thanks I went a head and bought the one on Ebay now I need a head painter:)

just wanted to share my altered supes figure

stuffed foam down his shirt to beef him up a bit. not to mention that i took the shoulders from the medi ver of supes and slipped those onto HT's shoulders.

looks MUCH better in my eyes. routh wasn't a small dude.

That looks better alright. Any way you could widen the waist at all, I think hes still too thin in that area. Can't wait till Hot Toys do Reeve Superman - I'm sure they'll give him a more specific base body.

Did a little body change for my 2 in 1. Nothing big but I like the way the Wesker body frame fits in the clothes better than the regular TrueType. Gives him more traps than the the regular TT. Here is the before:

Like I said it's not a big conversion like everyone else did but I like it better. The arms are bigger and he's more defined. I wanted to keep the real world body type of the movies so that it would fit in with the Dark Knight. I'll take a side by side picture when I return to my house where i have my second Superman.

Finally got a good pic of my Superman with his new body. He looks so super without the typical comic book superhero body. Looks like a good balance between reality and comic book.

Also I threw in my custom Superboy. Still not done yet. Need to paint the Superman shield and cut out the Superman belt buckle and use some rub and buff silver. Going for the Superman Returns costume tie in. He's going to sport a superman belt buckle you can pick up anywhere and the red and black t-shirt. What do you guys think??

Looks good... Did you try to use the leg 'bulker' on it? Did the fit into the costume? And how did you open the suit?

Yeah I tried the leg bulkers on it, but it made it look too bulky. It just about took away from the upper body so I too it off. As for opening the suit it was opened from the side.

just my opinion San... super"boy" looks older than super"man."

:D

Yeah I know. I can't seem to find a younger head sculpt other than this one:

Which does NOT look like Superboy at all. I'm still looking for a better head sculpt but can not find one. The Brandon Routh sculpt is young as it is. Trying to find a younger one is hard. I'm thinking about getting this one repainted for several reason (Needs black hair, paler skin, too old with the 5'oclock shadow etc) but I want to make sure it'll work.

If anyone has any idea which head sculpt would work better please let me know.

yeah... i'm digging my brain for any HT product that will come out looking young at the same time, not baby like.

still no luck with your Hush Batman and For Tomorrow Superman stats?

What do you mean?? I was never working on those. Although a Hush figure would look good. Hmmm... You've got my wheels turning.

San, how about this one? if you can get this, it might fit in nicely :)

I thought about that head sculpt but I think that would look older than the one I'm currently using. I think any head would require a repaint to look younger than the Brandon Routh sculpt. :monkey2
