Good effort, but doesn't this mean that you can't do a flying pose?

Yeah, flying pose is completely gone. I can do a sort of hovering pose. Im thinking the dutch body would be a nicer choice, but not sure if I would be able to get the suit on. i know the arms are removable, so you never know. If I could find a SUPES cheap enough, I might try. :)

appreciate it, bruce. does batman head move separately from the neck or is it one piece? do you know if he still sells the the sculpt? nice work on robin too. how'd you take out the batman insignia?
thanks a lot.

It's one piece. It's been a while since I bought it, so not sure if he still makes it. I remember the guy was from Mexico. As far as the Robin, I heated a knife over the stove and melted/smoothed the bat symbol away. Wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Not as smooth as I would like it though. Prices for the takara batman dropped, so I might try again. Mask is from a DC direct NIGHTING with edges clipped off. It is still removable cause it fit nicely onto the VOLKS head. Everything else is pure Takara Batman. :)

So I've never tried to strip down the 2 in 1 before... Is it possible? The red outer-undies have came loose of the belt in the back, leaving a gap between the two. Is this normal? I was going to try to fix it but wasn't sure what roadblocks, if any, might arise? Does the belt unsnap in the back?

Nash did you repaint that head yourself? Looks good but it kind of lost the Brandon Routh-ness to it. That's notjab at your work I think it's really good. A lot better than the original. Just an observation. You brought out the square jaw more than it originally did. Do you do commission work on heads?

I was also wondering this because I have a Wolverine body coming in the mail soon. If the red underoos come loose from the belt is there a way to reattach it? Also is the top and bottom seperate like a pants and shirt? I hope it's not hard to take apart. I can't find another one anywhere at an affordable price....

Sorry for the bad quality...too much noise in the photos. I stuffed some cotton wool on the shoulder area. His pose looked unnatural as his shoulders were poping out from the sides. Nothing else done..cause he looks perfect out of the box !!!

nice pics. i want to get this figure soon.

anyone know what would be a good, reasonable price to find the 2in1 Superman figure today?

Its really hard to come by nowadays and when you do find it then the price is too high. Have you tried the sellers section ? Ebay would be the only place I know that does them. They range between £200 - 250 depending on postaging. I paid around £250 and that was sometime last year. Looking at ebay theres only 3-4 people selling the figure so i'd worry about trying to get my hands on one rather than the price if you want it badly. Personally my collection wouldn't be complete without it, and also the batman original suit version 2 figure, thats another one with a big price tag !

thanks. i might be able to buy one for just under $300. I'm definitely thinking of doing that. :D

If you wait until photos of the Reeve Superman figure by Hot Toys show up the price of this will fall considerably as people decide they don't want a 'generic' Superman when they can have a perfect Reeve likeness and rush to unload it (yes, I know this is supposed to be a Superman Returns figure but the likeness is not a Routh likeness).

The price has already fallen in auctions to below $300 and it's only really being offered by Hong Kong sellers for buy it nows of £250 plus - though I never see them actually selling.

This has been discussed before, but I think the interest in this figure will remain high following the Reeve Superman release. The reason is 2 fold--1) this is essentially a "comic" Superman (based on head sculpt), and probably the best comic version in this scale that we will see in the near future. He looks really good, though not Routh by any means. I think that fact keeps interest in him high.

Secondly, though some will not care for him when Reeve comes (the figure that everyone will want), others will probably learn about it for the first time, or recognize an interest in him for the first time that will be sparked by the Reeve release.

Unlike the Batman or Joker re-releases, which were essentially updated, improved versions of previous figures, Reeve will be a completely different character and design, and so the Returns figure will hold interest and value I think.

Recent auctions seem to have been going for anywhere from $250 to $300, sometimes higher, but that has been the trend for several months that I've observed, long before the Reeve Superman rumor was announced.

Personally I think the version 2 headsculpt has about 50-60% likeness of Routh. The version 1 sculpt has 70-80% BUT the quality makes it not worth having. I'd rather have the new sculpt over the old any day. Also the costume of version 1 is totally wrong (the pants in particular. They shud look more like boxer shorts in a rectangle shape). There are other things that have been improved on the version 2 costume. Also lets not forget that its a god damned 2 in 1 as well !!!

As karamazov80 said its a comic Superman and a more generic version but when looking at it, it just reminds me of Superman Returns so its not as generic to me as it is to others. After the Reeves Superman comes out I think there will be a price drop but its not gonna be that much as it still holds its value over a Reeves Superman. I'd just buy it if you got the money....if you wait around until the Reeves Superman is released then its more likely to be gone and so u'll be left dissapointed.

I don't see these prices falling when CR comes out (at least not by much) Both versions 1&2 were done very nicely, and a lot of fans will want both versions in their collection.

Bumped, just because I love this figure. Oh, and to say that I hope HT make the Reeve suit removeable - it's really annoying that I can't swap the body on this one for a Wesker Midnight body, which is probably my favourite HT body.

wanted to share a pic of my supes as well.

i took the muscle shoulders from the medi ver of supes and after a bit of sanding, i slipped them onto HT supes' shoulders. imo it looks much better than before. routh was pretty brollic, the HT body wasn't diesel enough. and yeah, i agree, i think the wesker body would've made a huge difference as well.

Wow... the DX Batman is a closer body size to Superman. Now I definitely have to get one. UGH.... Nice pic

Hi guys I am new to this but I have bought batman and iron man in the last two days. Why is it so hard to find Hot toys Superman I saw 2 for over $400 and one for $300? Is that the norm? And when you do get them where do you send the head to be repainted? Thank you for the help? Oh and I here of a Chris Reeve figure but I have seen nothing concrete is it a fact? thanks
