Those figures might have been the beezneez back then. I guess I'm spoiled by what I've seen now, to appreciate those figures, as much as maybe some of you do :D

Nice if you're an Arnie Kim collector though :D

Very nice indeed but I think I would be a great meve change the body for everyone of them....don't like all the hair at all,but they are one of kind so.....:clap
These guys are pretty much 7/8 years old, and were made even before Enterbay was an idea and Arnie made these for Toy Fairs exhibitions like other Korean figure artists. Arnie's Bruces were a revelation at that point. Also the head sculpts and hands and feet were sculpted for some specific bodies (BBI if I remmber correctly) and you cant 'switch' them as they are not compatible with current bodies. Besides its an original handmade figure, changing/upgrading things on it kinda for me adds 'impurities' in the original concept and creation.
Also as for hair sculpt and other stuff we all know how good Arnie got with Bruce Lee over the years. This was his starting point

The paint job could've been better on those IMO!
How much did those custom ones cost? Did Arnie Kim make a bunch of them?
The painting was done by Arnie here and his skills were not what they are now.
Im not sure what the original prices from Arnie was, (I think he even made some to gift to his close friends) nowadays I see some pop up on ebay and go from $1000 and up and sell out in days. Arnie made very few, some lines had 10 units, Some had 20/25. Some were even one of a kind, but yeah I think there are a like a hundred or so handmade Arnie Kim Bruce Lees in 1:6th in the world

Absolutely, as I was saying we all know what Arnie's sculpting and painting Bruce Lee has become now...

My sources tell me HT don't have the licence for 1/6 or 1/4 BL figures..

AK has always said the recent BL sculpts are his personal works.

thanks for correcting me on that..but i thought as they released ETD that they were releasing 1/6 and 1/4 in the future?.not the other ''movie'' figures as EB had them rights..as it seems a bit pointless the king of bruce lee figures going over to HT's if that's the case..dunno hope your source is'nt right :(

Well Bill told me too that EB got the exclusive licenses for 1/6th and 1/4th BL EXCLUSIVELY... whereas Arnie told me 'non explicitly' that it was not so... Now whom I to believe?

I dont know. But I sincerely hope Arnie's recent BL's se a general release for us fans. As good/ambitious as EB's GoD was, there was much too many issues for us to truly enjoy it right out of the package. The change in scale being one of my biggest gripes. It was not even in the scale of their own previous BL releases, I dont even want to start about the qc issues. I hope they ditch this non posable problematic rubber body to the older vinyl/pvc/abs one and make the figure more in scale with their older BLs

Hi everyone, I am new here and those are my Arnie figures that the axecutioner18 posted. I did spend a lot of money on them but to pay for that I sold nearly every single figure I owned.

Nearly the whole set was on ebay at one time, so I bought them all in one hit.

I agree some are not painted that good, but I was really interested in the head sculpts, even if they had plain paint jobs.

Thanks everyone for your comments and I hope you welcome me to this forum!

welcome friend..great collection, even though they are not as ''uptodate'' as the general releases.they still hold that little place in history:)..well done mate

i still cant see arnie moving to HT's and not doing any BL'S FOR THEM!! bit pointless if that's the case

correct larry...but c'mon arnie IS bruce lee when it comes to figures..just seems (to me) a bit of a dumb move..lets hope EB continue to do bruce justice in both sculpts AND body dept..sort out a better body guys

Every figure?

That's hardcore Unicron :lol

Before I comment, I would just like to thank everyone first for welcoming me to this forum! :clap

Yeah I know Larry it is hardcore, but I really was so disappointed in Enterbay figures, except version A!

Even though I bought most of the sets on ebay, I still had to hunt around for boxes, bodies, hands and suits for the fighting versions except the fighting ETD, that was a full figure that came with box and clothes with the normal figure. It is lucky for me I had connections.

I only have one certificate for the normal figures and no certificates for the fighting versions. I couldn't get certificates for the fighting versions, because the heads were given as gifts to those who bought the normal versions. Thus, I only have one certificate per set for each 1 set of 2 figures.

The group pic you have seen is quite old, I have ones with better paint jobs now! I will send you some pics soon.

In the mean time I would like you to visit my recent facebook page, that I just started up. I want to find more people that appreciate these so they can comment on my recent updates!

I find it hard to find friends that do not know much about these.

Thanks again for your comments

Great collection you have. Unicron. Welcome!!!!:wave:wave:wave

If what your sources say is true, then why is HT making this?

image0012.jpg

Wait ..... maybe this is 1/2 scale :horror :lol

I think HT won't try on rubber body for BL. After what happen to EB BL rubber body issue. If HT going to do rubber body, they must ensure that the rubber is very good quality and won't crack when been pose. Else they will suffer the same fate of high exchange rate like EB RM-X body issue.

Those pictures of the figures all in the group are are old pics, the paint job on that ETD was very plain and did not bring out Bruce's features!

:gah:

I have since purchased a new figure, so check out the paint job on my new 2004 ETD figure in this pic!

I think it looks like a different figure, how it brings out Bruce's features.

:yess:

Nevertheless, I know this isn't great lighting but I feel this was the best lighting I could get to make the paint job stand out with a camera that is not state of the art! I know it is a bit blurry sorry about that, this is the best I can do with a standard camera.

:slap

LMK what you guys think

:peace

The rubber body on my HT Leonidas is holding up fine so far :huh
