Jack's smile always has arrogance to it, the HT proto sculpy looks joyous, i just don't see Jack that way, i see Jack as a constant searcher achieving small victories but never enough to be content and any joy is short lived. Hell, he got the Pearl back but even that joy was short lived as he still had his debt to Jones.

Oh well, that's the reason why HT are on their way of revising it...hopefully!

Maybe its just me, but I really like that head sculpt that was canned. Its a nice change of pace from all the other boring headsculpts without much expression. Its unique, and fits the character. I don't get all the negative reactions

I agree completely. The sculpt they dropped was awesome and the one they still have is incredibly boring.

I'd love an expression sculpt, but the one that was leaked is definitely not it. Give me the same expression that they released with cannibal Jack all day long over the leaked version.

I'd prefer some teeth to be shown though to see the gold ones at least. I'm not crazy about the "current" smiling sculpt, but I don't think it's a bad one either. I wouldn't be mad if that's the one we got.

Something like this would achieve that and be in character.

I don't get why people say the sculpt doesn't fit the character. I think the smile is slightly too big and the sculpt isn't 100% perfect, but its pretty close in my opinion and the expression is still very much a expression i'd associate with Sparrow.

I just don't see Depp in that sculpt at all, and the expression imo looks someone who is high on narcotics. I don't see Captain Jack in that sculpt at all.

i liek the second pic more if there's really any difference at all but yes something like that would be preferred. But again, I don't mind the "current" one either. Could be better but eh, I'm the guy that likes just about everything. Kind of like Josh

The serious sculpt, to me is an almost perfect likeness. The smiling not so much.

the serious sculpt is not perfect but it's almost there, a bit more tweaking and it can be great. the smiling sculpt though is better off canned. once someone here did a ps of the smiling pic; he removed the mustache, the hat, the eyeliner, etc. to better see the real face underneath. and it's nowhere near close to looking like depp or jack.

so, clearly those who see jack or depp in the smiling sculpt only do so because all the pirate make up and getup are obstructing their view from the obvious.

For me the serious sculpt is about 95% Depp... the old / being reworked smile sculpt is about 70% Depp... I'd be fine if they did away with the smile all together since I'll probably never use it.
