For the life of me I cannot figure out how this coat is able to look almost black in some photos when the actual color is so far from it.

For the life of me I cannot figure out how this coat is able to look almost black in some photos when the actual color is so far from it.

Its like that in the films though, right? Sometimes it looks black/dark grey, and sometimes it looks brown/light brown.

It varies in tones, but it never looks like the HT coat. It made it tricky for me custom coloring my coat, I picked what I felt like was the average shade and did my best to match it.

Cool. So did you dye your DX Jack coat or was it one of the older release coats? I might do the same when I get mine if it ends up bothering me.

I got impatient waiting for my DX to see how the coat came out so I bought a DX coat on eBay and painted layers of Greta and blacks over it to et it close to the movie color and painte the buttons black to be more like pirates 2 and 3, I liked that better, they're more gold/black in 4.

Got mine last night. Simply stunning.
Didnt have time to take pics though cause I got home late and it took me awhile to put all the pieces together and futz it.
Hands down, figure of the year.

With all of the photos and everyone receiving theirs, this is going to be really tough. Tomorrow when he arrives I am going to just rush over to where my wrapping paper is and wrap him up or I will be too tempted to open him right then and there.

fantastic fig, and great pics! but why's he on such a short body? Depp's like 5'10" or so. might as well put him on a normal sized bod. the smaller bod, and slightly smaller head, make his hands and boots look too big (well HT hands can run big anyway, but the small bod & head accentuate this). this fella might benefit from a hot water treatment to make the clothes less bulky too.

and the Iron Man in those pics...is that a HT IV version? it looks thicker & bulkier than mine. could be a stretched pic

jack does look small next to Iron Man Mark IV and Indy....but I do have his knees bent a little so that could be throwing it off a tad....but i agree he is on the shorter side....

I always thought J.Depp was about 5'9" at most, so the shorter body makes sense esp. next to Ford as Indy.

Just got home and looked at Jack and WOW I think he looks even more amazing today than he did yesterday! My first HT and I am officially hooked! Capt America will be here today! I will be ordering the Superman at the end of the month! Yikes I'm on a roll now!
