Hulk 2 News:

https://www.iwatchstuff.com/2008/06/nasally_shouts_of_a_sweaty_cro.php

The comic book community doesn't always know what's best for it. There's a reason so many comic fans die alone, crushed under boxes of stiffly bagged and boarded first issues, their final moments filled with thoughts of Psylocke's full thighs, quiet prayers that they never somehow return from the dead with new powers (because it was really stupid when that happened with Superman), and the tragic realization that maybe the life decisions leading up to this untimely demise weren't necessarily the best. But regardless of their decision-making talents, Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier says it might be the fans who decide the villain in his superhero sequel. (That's us!) From MTV:

“I think that if we get to ‘Hulk 2′ I would go to Comic-Con and ask the crowd of people that actually love the movies, which one would you prefer to see, Samson or the Leader?” Leterrier told MTV News.
For his part, Leterrier said that he would prefer The Leader, on the grounds that a face-off between him and the Hulk would be a different sort of smash-fest than the climactic battle of the first film.

“Both are very interesting. [But] there’s something unstoppable about [Leader] and it’s just not the same thing. It’s just different,” he said of the super-brilliant character played in the film by Tim Blake Nelson. “The fact that he controls stuff with his mind, I just like that.”

Has Leterrier never seen a superhero sequel before? Clearly the next movie should have every villain crammed into it, with a dense program handed out beforehand providing the sole explanation of who anyone is because there is absolutely no time for characterization through all the CGI punching. That mode of thought seems to have worked brilliantly so far; let's stick with it.

I hope that the last paragraph was sarcastic??!! Because I think he is on the right track, just like Nolan is with Batman. One good villian per movie, with just a tickling of the next one!

Just watched it. Loved it. As good as Iron Man in every way, though I enjoyed Hulk more because I am more found of the character.

IM made over a 100 million, I wonder if this will effect the decision to make number 2? The Ang Lee’s made over 60 something million its first weekend…I still think that last movie is hurting this one.

The Incredible Hulk's opening week number exceeded industry expectations so right now it's doing better then most people thought it would. But hopefully good word of mouth will convince people to leave they're opinion of the first Hulk at home and go see it so it can keep doing good business (or better).

I'm seeing it next friday :joy

Technically, thats not true.

Batman Begins villians:
Joe Chill
Scarecrow
Ra's Al Ghul
Mr. Zsasz
Carmine Falcone
The Joker (unseen, but nevertheless had a presence in the film)

Not counting the Joker, thats FIVE comic book villians in one film. Sure they aren't all the super villians we think of, but the point is, if done well, like Nolan did, many villians can work.

Here is how the Dark Knight is shaping up:

The Joker
Scarecrow
Sal Maroni
Two-face
*Gamble (new villian, just another mobster)

Plus there might even be more through various cameos, but still, again, 5 villians.

Batman begins = Overated

i saw the hulk last night and i thought it freakin' rawked! my wife liked iron man more but i think i might have liked the hulk, if not more, than at least as much as iron man. my initial gut reaction was i wanted to walk back in and see it again but the hulk is my favorite marvel character so i am gonna be biased as far as that goes. i would vote for the leader to make an appearance in #2.

batman begins overrated?

blasphemy!

Batman Begins and the phrase suckitude have no business being in the same sentence... perhaps it is the lack of the paint by numbers approach that Marvel employs that threw you?

Here we go...

You rock dude! ALL HAIL FUTURAMA!

Anyway, Batman Begins... Sucks? Wow... Batman Begins is not overrated. It's a great film, and I say this being more of a Marvel fan than a DC one.

Why was Batman even brought up? This is a Marvel forum right? hehe
