I LOVE my Ultimate T800, my ONLY things I do not care for are:
while nice to have a head with his face blasted partially off it does not match the rest of the body, I would have been happier with a head with bullet holes around the side of his head near his eyes like the aftermath of the police shoot out at the Cyberdyne lobby.
the black gloved hands, I would have loved to have non gloved hands as an option
other than that I LOVE the figure the goodies he comes with is awesome :yess:.

PS if anybody has a head for this scale T800 with the bullet wounds to the face I would gladly trade my face blown off showing one of the eye head ;).

They did make a head with some bullet holes and tearing on the forehead and cheek, it came with the final battle and steel mill versions of the T-800. They probably go for a pretty penny now though...

yeah I saw. I just wish this figure had the mildly effed up head instead of the 20% of his face blown off. I am sure that head matches a figure with a severed arm, and visible endo torso and messed up knees and exposed knuckles etc. But this figure with the exception of some bullet holes on his back is too clean to have a head with right side of it's face blown off :p.

Being true to the movie, any damaged head would also need at least a damaged chest.

NECA could have done swap out chests like the T-1000.

- Black shirt, flesh hands and sunglasses head, Galleria T-800
- Grey shirt, glove hands, clean head without sunglasses, Cyberdyne T-800
- Damged chest, glove hands, stage 1 damage head, Cyberdyne shootout T-800

Here's a larger copy, tweet says available next month.

Holy McBallsack that is gosh damn amazing looking. I can't wait for this figure, its going to look so good with Arnie. We really need a John to make this set complete.

I also really want Ultimate T-1 figures, of Arnie, Kyle and Sarah. Is that too much to ask?!? haha...

NECA have gone pretty high in my book with the Terminator/Robocop/Alien/Predator collection I have thanks to them.

The likes of T1 Sarah, T2 John and Harrigan from Predator 2 would really and truly make NECA untouchable to me. Those are the kinds of characters that are hugely important in their respective films but which are, alas, seemingly very unlikely as action figures. NECA have made quite a few things that it seemed would never happen, I'd love it if they could push the boat out a little more and make those guys. Trouble is they require actor likeness rights and they'd sell only to hardcore fans of these films which is undoubtedly the reasoning for not making them.

There's been some debated, I can now show proof, not sure where NECA came up with the chest damage but it's not in the movie.

I picked up Guardian today.

Overally, a really nice figure in terms of quality, value's a bit low since you pay the same price as more elaborate figures and only get a gun. A BD second head would have sweetened the deal.

One thing I appreciate NECA doing is making these figures with the same overall look and quality as the previous Terminator figures so it all looks like it fits together if you build a full NECA Terminator collection.

The portrait is definitely an older Arnie compared to the other NECA sculpts. The only things really off for me are the lack of wrinkles which would help it to look more like he's older, and the hair having a rounder shape on top than being flattened to almost look T2 style. Without the wrinkles in his face, it almost looks like it could be someone else's portrait, rather than old Arnie, it looks like a young face overall, it's only having so many other NECA T-800s and being familiar with Arnie's face that I see it as an older version of him.

From my experience, a lot of figures made in/near time for a film's release are based on concept art and can differ from the final product. Some times the differences are substantial.

I'll be curious if Hot Toys updates their BD portrait which is also based on early concept art. I don't mind the damage on the NECA, it's subtle enough, if it were as heavy as the T2 I might find it too much given the lack of other heavy damage on him.
