I'm very interested despite the fact they won't be in scale with eachother let alone the figures. Presumably the T2 offerings will be the flying and ground HKs. I'm guessing they won't do contemporary vehicles like the liquid Nitrogen truck etc.

I can think of a few contemporary vehicles from t2 that i'd like cinemachines to do:

I'd buy them. I think Micro-machines did a line of them back in the day. I doubt they're in NECA's plans though. Maybe, as real as opposed to fictional vehicles, they'd require additional licenses and so on.

Just thinking about John Connor again though - is T2 not one of those films where the actor likeness rights come attached to the overall license? Or am I misunderstanding it or remembering wrong?

Micro machines did do them along with mini figures, I had the Cryoco tanker and tow truck set, wish I kept them though I'm sure they could easily be found on eBay.

Yeah i remember that, they also did a back to the future part 2 set.

Neca Ultimate Sarah Connor by scarrviper, on Flickr

Received ultimate Sarah from amazon today. I didn't plan on picking her up, but with the T-1000 almost upon us I had a change of heart. Glad I did, she's fantastic. Spot on likeness, clean paint apps, and excellent accessories. They all feel very sturdy, no warping like with the T-800 weapons. Only had 3 stuck joints, the knees and the right hip. Hot water and patience sorted them out. I did have to adjust her sunglasses, one side wasn't pushed into place all the way. Thankfully there was hardly any glue used and I was able to pop out the glasses stem and then push them in. They were such a tight fit I didn't have to use any glue.

Two observations- You can remove her vest and belt if you carefully pop her in half at the waist, it's a ball and socket joint. Also the shotgun stock has a locking feature so it doesn't flop back and forth. In either position if you squeeze the hinge it locks into place.

Overall I highly recommend her. Worth every penny.

Wise choice, excellent figure.

So it seems the sunglasses could perhaps be pried off and even put onto the other pony-tail sculpt. Although, I went looking for the sunglasses from the McFarlane figure and they do actually fit pretty well and are held in place by her hair, almost as if the hair was specifically sculpted to enable this. They look a bit like swimming goggles viewed from below but not too bad really.

Didn't realise that about the shotgun stock, sure enough you're right. And I went and glued one of mine.

Lastly, do you reckon her right leg is longer than her left? It seems to be the case on mine and even in that boxed pic it kinda looks like it.

On mine she leans slightly to her left more when standing up. Is it the same for yours? I can't tell if it's the way the feet can be positioned/pivoted that makes her do that. It's not really a big issue for me as she stands fairly well. The only issue I'm having is getting the knife out of her sheath, seems pretty stuck in there.

Other than that, this is another home run from NECA. I also got the ultimate T-1000 as well, another kick ass figure.

The right leg is longer. Thankfully the articulation she has helps balance it out.

I guess it's all of them then. A minor pity but there could be worse things wrong with it.

My T-1000s shipped from BBTS during the week just gone, ordered 2 of them. Looking forward to completing this set. Then we shall await the T1 Ultimates.

T1 T-800 should benefit even more from Ultimate treatment, can't wait to put one in a neutral pose of all things :lol

On twitter NECA said that they have more T2 planned for the latter half of the year for the 25th anniversary of the film. A John Connor two pack would great. What else can they do?

Hmmm, maybe they're referring to the Cinemachines stuff...or videogame repaints...or kenner tribute figures.

But if it's more movie stuff...unless they just find another way to sell us stuff we already have this is all I can think of:

By the way here's Sarah Connor with the McFarlane shades

Night and Day difference between these figures:

And here's the eyes to one side paintjob I seem to have on one sculpt:

^ I notice some paint mess on her eyelid there but it went unseen until this macro photograph.

One of my cap headsculpts has more noticeable paint mess on the face which would have pissed me off no end if it were the only sample I had.

Not sure I like this to be honest

For a starters both the NECA and McFarlane endoskeleton arms are out of scale with any given human Arnold figure. Unaltered, either arm is way too long so I had to compromise and butcher some spares (which were already beyond salvage from previous operations) to make the forearm shorter. Now the forearm is totally inaccurate and a bit mish-mashy looking - however, since the Genisys endo is a changed design it wouldn't have been accurate anyway. I don't like that NECA hand either, too big.

Secondly, even though I think it is accurate to the movie, it just doesn't look right having a totally clean endoskeleton arm attached to an Arnie figure. I can't help but feel that arm should still have flesh and blood remnants.

Anyway I didn't make any irreversible changes to the Pops figure, nothing is glued on and I didn't need to carve him up or anything so at least there's that.

Seeing McFarlane Sarah next to NECA, there just aren't words for how weird and awful McFarlane looks, that seems even below their standards.

My ponytail Sarah head has the exact same "eyes looking left" paintjob. Those McFarlane glasses do look good on her btw. The figure they came from however, looks horrendous.

To be honest I'm really impressed by how good the Robert Patrick likeness is on the T-1000 despite the sculpt being a few years old.

If there's more T2 figures in the works then I wonder if we'll get a re-release of liquid nitrogen T-1000 but with articulated legs? That, or the motorcycle cop or liquid metal version. It would be cool if they added a removable shattered arm and leg for liquid nitrogen though it could be tricky to tool.

What else could they do for Arnie?

I hope I can find a ponytail head that isn't looks sideways, from what I've seen that's the head I'd likely use cuz it came out best, but I don't want them stuck looking that way and these figures are too small to repaint eyes.
