Theses predators do look very nice, but I'm holding out for the original, and since he'd be by himself, maybe we could luck out and get two heads so we could have a closed mouth with helmet, and an open mouth head for that "You're one ugly mother%*$#er" roar he lets out before taking on Dutch.

Knowing HT, they would find a way to sell 5 different versions of it. But I would love to have two heads! That would be awesome.

Congrats on hitting the 500 mark, fellow Predheads! For anyone who happened to miss the AvP-inspired pics I posted a couple of days ago, here's another to celebrate the Official PRED Thread...

The HT AvP series of Predators was a great addition to all the amazing model kits and other collectibles that have been made over the years, but I think we're all still waiting for the original Predator. Hot Toys has a good thing going and I don't think they'll let us down. I for one am also looking forward to the Predator 2 offerings, and hopefully HT will include some new surprises with the weapons, costumes, and head sculpt options, as well as the basic figure body.

To celebrate the half a hundred mark, I'm reposting some of my pics buried earlier in the thread. The posing is no where near as brilliant as mudshark's but I'm proud of the quiell work (still in progress, I'm afraid) on the Elder.

Your quills look amazing. Are the smaller ones like that? Or did you do some special work to make them look blendy and all. SUPER looking work!

Well, thanks gdb, but you're way too kind! I'm still relatively new to the board and I'm afraid I missed a lot of earlier stuff, including your amazing pics! I love the first one especially. I think it would have made a great poster for the movie. It reminds me of album cover art back in the 70s for some reason. This closeup of the Elder is fantastic! I hope you won't mind if I use it as a reference for installing the quills on my Elder. You did a truly remarkable job, btw. I just hope mine turns out that well.

There must be a ton of other great pics and stuff buried in this thread. When I have the time I'll dig through it and try to catch up. Thanks for reposting these cool pics!

Here is a little photr for a photostory I am working on called "Inconstant Universe". I wrote the story back in the 90's for fun and it was the total no holds barred crossover thingie. Since most of the characters I wrote have now been rendered in 1/6, I decided to start doing the pics. Here is a Predator relevant one, another is posted in the Alien thread.

Thanks for the kind words on Elder, guys. I'm going to finish the quills in a week or so, when I unpack my superglue from the move. I'll post more pics then. I plan on using some of the techniques Screamingmetal outlined earlier (pages 26, 28 I think) --as I just moved and a half dozen quills flaked off.

Mudshark, I can't wait to see what you do with your Elder's quills. I'm sure they'll be great! Be sure to post pics.

Les, thanks for the supportive comments. They mean a lot coming from you. I cut some of them at an angle but I didn't do anything else to them.

Holy ****!!! Thanks for posting all these great Pred pics, guys. It took about 30 min. to load everything on my pos laptop, but it was well worth the wait! If you've got more stuff like this to share, by all means keep it coming!
