No, not really. With the mouth open his mask really doesnt fit on that well.

The problem with Elder's helmet is it's too tight. Even if you remove the brackets inside that allow it to be attached to the shoulder, it doesn't fit over Elder's mouth. Plus, while it looks great on the Celtic's face, it doesn't want to stay on because it's too loose.

Although, before I glued the quilles on him, I've had no problem getting the Elder to wear either the Scar or Celtic mask.

are these predators limited editions or something?

They seem to be, by far, the hardest of the bunch to find. Chopper and the Elder seem to be just about everywhere.

yeah from what I remember, even right after they were released both scar and celtic were sold out at most retailers.

Nowdays, chopper and elder are still up for sale with no problems. wonder if HT increased their production runs seeing how successful the previous 2 were.

I am glad that I picked up Scar and Celtic when I did. Only payed just above retail for them.

As much as I love these guys, I sorta think that each Predator is kinda a rerelease since the actual differances (mask, slight armor configuration) is so small. Plus I'm of the thinking that the Ani-Com Scar doubled as a second run in Asia. His release is certainly simular to the Robocop 3 w/ Jet Pack in that I would have felt so screwed if I had bought Scar originally.

I don't see why they don't just make more to meet demand. It's not like these are numbered or anything like that. Collectible, yes, but Hot Toys could make more money. They did it for ED.

Maybe Hot Toys views these Preds as interchangable. But I agree with you that Hot Toys should try to meet the demand instead of shorting collectors and would-be collectors (only 250 Grid Aliens?! Come on!!). But then again, I think Sideshow should do a second run of Human Face Spike so people who want one can get one for a reasonable price.

I thought the whole point of the Sideshow exclusive edition was to ensure collectibility and value while the regular editions were determined based on demand. I don't see why they can't just offer additional runs on regular editions. The exclusive ones would still hold their value. Hot Toys could offer a modified Celtic like they did with the Ani-com Scar. Pretty much the same figure just a slightly newer body and additional battle-damaged headsculpt.

Why would you want that? I rather them just do different figures like an original pred.

I didnt think they made another run of ED. if youre referring to the battle damaged ED, I dont consider that the same run.

No, not the Battle Damaged. BigBadToystore is taking additional pre-orders for a second run of the non-battle damaged edition and is clearly advertised as "2nd Production Run" on their site.

I thought they did something along those lines. Though not exactly a second production run.

There seemed to be a tidal wave of HT Supes when he first came out and then I think Hot Toys released the remaining number of him a bit later. That's when a lot of online retailers were receiving him after the initial batch.

I would think that with the HUGE demand for Batman Begins and Superman that they should seriously consider a second production run on those. I've seen them at just about every comic book store I go to and they always have the prices jacked up around $300.

A battle damaged Celtic helmet would kick ass! With the Alien claws slash marks on it... Maybe with the alien blood acid damage on the chest armor... That would be one cool figure!
