They need to stop with all the Ancient Elder variations, in my opinion. I would be all for a Celtic variation though!

I think there is really only the 2, the thrid one Sideshow has is from what I read a slight variation of the one they will already be distributing so no big deal.

yup, the stand looks the same as all HT stands do. "Celtic Predator", "Scar Predator" etc...

That's great news. I plan on POing the Japanese Ancient and I like the name placards because it gives it a sort of museum quality...

I would assume that no matter which Ancient elder you get the name plates will say "Ancient Elder" on it. I dont even know if I'll get one of them, spent too much rencently. Plus I went nuts from Oct-Dec on the Preds and got all of them plus the Alein.

It's quite funny to see fellow propaholics start their downward spiral into figures, then statues, then who knows what else!

I actually haven't bought a prop since early last year when I started getting sucked into SSC stuff hardcore. My prop orders have all been canceled in support of my new habit, all except the Utapau Clone Helmet.

Ok well in that case I'd assume it would be either "Sideshow Exclsuive" Ancient Elder and then is the Asian one Bliser Exclusive? I forget. Then the other one well I dont know really.

I like the HT Stands but for the Preds I find that the metal peice isnt long enough so I usually swap that out with a Sideshow peice.

Getting all the main predators definatley broke me Scar and Celtic were the worst.

hey guys, so yeah i just got meself a nice celtic pred. Cud any of you post tutorials on how to assemble him? i cant seem to get his hip armor on and im not sure where his kilt/skirt thing goes lol

Yes I got notices for BOTH Sideshow and Japanese exclusive Ancient Predators. Must hurry up and figure out which one of them to cancel FAST!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!

i really don't have a preference of the 2 exclusives. i'm just hoping one of 'em will be fairly easy to snag at retail a bit down the road, because i'ma have to cancel now. it wasn't too hard to get the Ani con Scar after release. picked him up at Toysquare at retail, couple months after release.

I got both notices and I'm pissed at Sideshow.
It said in the last newsletter:
AVP: Hot Toys Ancient Elder Predator model kit - #63171 Now Mar 2007
15-20 days from right now is NOT March, it's February. And I was expecting the Japanese Pred in March too.
It might be only a week and a half shy of March at the least, but right now it's really tough.
Had I known that both these figures would be shipping next month I would've canceled the Terminators and Probe Droid pack which are now on their way.
And now I have to decide between one of these Predators and the brown Alien.
I'm really getting sick of Sideshow screwing up on estimates.
