I don't think you can actually count the alien skull...I'm pretty sure it was just thrown in for the upcoming comic series.

I thought it was just for poops and giggles.

Well one thing I can definitely say based on all the trailers (and how the crew reacts once they land on that planet): that whole synopsis about the ship/crew entering a wormhole and going back in time was complete BS.

The Strauses did. But since it ruins everything, it's not canon.

Never read where Anderson said that but I'm not surprised considering how fans and even Ridley and Cameron reacted to the movie.

If I remember correctly, Cameron initially liked it and then later said he hated it. Both he and Ridley say that the AVP movies have screwed up the franchise so I'm sure that's why someone like Anderson probably would say something like that.

He just needs to stay to screwing up the Resident Evil franchise.


Oh and just because the Alien skull was thrown in the Predator 2 trophy room doesn't make the AVP stories "canon", it just put a link between the Predator and Alien franchises. Which was just a nod to the Dark Horse AVP comic (which would've made an awesome AVP movie too if they had the right crew and director).

Regardless, finally 20th Century Fox has come around. PREDATORS was awesome and now you have Ridley Scott restoring respect to the franchise he helped create long ago.

Question is: where to go from here? Will it be PREDATOR(S) 4? Will we return to the Xenomorphs? I'd like to see Cameron back on board too. He's my favorite a$$hole director because he's damn talented.

I think they say that on one of the AvP DVD/Blu-ray commentaries.

Question is: where to go from here? Will it be PREDATOR(S) 4? Will we return to the Xenomorphs? I'd like to see Cameron back on board too. He's my favorite a$$hole director because he's damn talented.

My guess is the next A/P related film will be a sequel to Prometheus..Ridley Scott has already mentioned it a few times.

Plus, it was originally supposed to be two movies...

I can see them waiting a few years and starting Predator up again if they can grab Arnie back for the role.

I'll pass on seeing Arnold play any new lead role in a Predator movie. Has for the classic first Predator he was great! Hollywood needs to get some new young action heros into play.

Right - I was agreeing on the crew suit. The fail was mine. Personally I still think it was a retraction perhaps of a mutated crewman? Beats me but I hopt it's more than just slug-like creatures.

The wow factor to alien that still holds to today is the biomech element of the design. Looking forward to the full reveal of the creature in the hallway attacking a crew member with the Giger-esk legs.

Tentacles, but looks to be shaped more like a chestburster. Part of the machine is gripping it, so i'm not sure it chose to wiggle towards her head.

Plus, I think it would be weird if it facehugs her and lays an embryo in her right after she gave birth to it...
