Well one thing I can definitely say based on all the trailers (and how the crew reacts once they land on that planet): that whole synopsis about the ship/crew entering a wormhole and going back in time was complete BS.

The other script was accurate though.

I dont think this has been posted yet so i thought i'd go ahead and tell you guys, In uruguay theres a convention called Montevideo comics it's south americas equivalent to comic con well its being held may 19th and 20th and ridley scott, damon lindelof is going to be there they're holding a screening of the movie and certain movie merchandise will be there. I cant wait to see what sort of merchandise

The one I read. I went into a fair bit of detail a while back.

And just reading the latest Empire magazine, there are a load more details confirmed. Space Jockey: Bio suit.. Check. Engineers: 9 foot grey humanoids with scarred faces... Check. Race back to earth after engineers decide to send out weapon of mass destruction.. Check. Crew mutate after coming in contact with bio gel..check.. Etc etc ad nauseum.

So it's the real deal. That worm hole rubbish was never in the script I read.
They are still denying the ship that crashes is the one from Alien, but I think they are just fooling. In the script it crashes into the earth ship and the cargo gets out. Space jockey impregnated. Chest buster pops out. The end.

The Jon Sphaits or whatever his name is was indeed a basis for the final script. He is credited.

But i'm sure things will be changed.

Tentacles, but looks to be shaped more like a chestburster. Part of the machine is gripping it, so i'm not sure it chose to wiggle towards her head.

Plus, I think it would be weird if it facehugs her and lays an embryo in her right after she gave birth to it...

So, in your opinion is it a good script? Does the have the potential to be classic Sci-Fi film?

And I will not play it again.

I'd love to see an AVP movie given a 'Michael Bay' style budget. You can see how good Prometheus looks after be given a bigger budget.

Its not the budget, its the script. Honesty, the first AvP had a good set design, and effects. But lacked a decent script.

Pseudo WWE? The fight scenes in AvP? That's a big load of bull____.

If there is one thing in that movie that is near perfect, it is the fighting/action scenes. They were just so well done, so appealing. You didn't want to look away.

Michael Bay doing the AvP films would not be awesome. The first one already has great fight/action scenes..that doesn't need improving. And from what we see in Transformers, that's the only good thing he can do. But so can almost anyone who knows how to make a movie. No, I don't buy the whole "he's a genius and just chooses to make piles of garbage" crap. And if that's true though, then he obviously doesn't care for quality films and once again, would NOT be a good choice for the AvP franchise.

Whether you like AvP or not, it was a good movie. It could have been so much better, but it wasn't bad.

Now AvP:R, that was bad. Just an overall horrible movie.

I disagree, I think the fight scenes in AVP were average at best.

The battle between the Celtic & Grid Alien was mediocre. Way too many close-ups of Grid just scratching at Celtic's face, the "thumping" sound of the huge Predator charging...I remember mostly being disappointed in the theater and wondering what happened because it was way too dark. Even when watching the DVD it didn't "wow" me.

The Alien Queen battle was disappointing too. Instead of the clever Queen of ALIENS, she resembled more of a rampaging T-Rex. The coup d' grace of the Scar doing the reverse spear thrust into her head was awesome though.

It was mostly the "one-off" scenes that were better to me. The Alien stabbing Chopper, Scar slicing off the Alien's Face with his shuriken.

I actually think AVP and AVP:R were both bad scripts. Both movies tarnished TWO franchises. We're lucky Twentieth Century Fox has come around to spend some money on some talent and rebuild the franchises individually.

And if it ever comes to a point when another AVP can be done. Spend some money and listen to this: Aliens vs. Colonial Marines vs. Predators. The video games have gotten it right!

I think Bay would make a really entertaining awesome looking AVP, the story might be stupid, but the lighting, the effects and the fights would be good,

but it would definitely be PG 13 and have no blood or anything

^ I don't know, he has no problem with gore. If you try to brave the ____feast that is Pearl Harbor, the unrated cut has a ton of gore.

So it depends on the budget.

mmmmm.. interesting, I do think he would be able to make an entertaining fast paced predator movie, or avp movie,

and like Bardoon said, an avp movie should be easy to make with the aliens vs the marines vs the predator, i really dont understand why they cant make a decent movie
