I really wish my IMAX was showing this in 2d. I'll never understand the attraction to 3D , not with how the technology is at the moment anyway.

Avatar was. But Transformers was so perfect, I forgot I had glasses on. Everything was clear, crisp, and bright.

Hopefully Prometheus uses it well too. There's several scenes in the film that look like they could really benefit from the use of 3D.

The 3D in Avatar and the during the last hour of DOTM was great compared to some of the below par 3D used recently.

I swear, if you or anyone else had to sit through my Avengers 3D experience..you would never want to even hear those words again.

There wasn't ANYTHING beneficial about it. It only impacted my viewing negatively. Distracting, confusing, nothing impressive about it.

I have a hard time believing that it is better in other movies...it was my first 3D viewing since I was like, 10 though..

The only thing I've seen that was really terrible in 3D was Star Wars Episode I

Not sure what happened with that, although I believe you that it was problematic. The 3D in Avengers wasn't distracting or confusing for me--the moments where they used it, it looked very natural and gave great depth and separation to the image. It wasn't the best use of 3D I've ever seen, but it had its enjoyable moments. I'm not sure what happened with your screening, and I wouldn't blame you if you said you didn't like it and would never try it again. I just know that I enjoy 3D movies. We can agree to disagree without anybody being insane.

The Avengers 3D was OK at best. Not worth getting all hyperbolic about. In any way.

That's becuase it was convertied to 3D, not shot in true 3D, and until people stop paying for this garbage the studios will keep doing it.

Midnight IMAX 3D tickets ordered
