Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

I got crazy chills. I have a feeling it'll be during a scene we see...

Or a Space Jockey. I dunno.
There are already tracks titled "Weyland" and "Space Jockey".
Would it make more sense for the track you linked to be when we see one of the original aliens...

...if we see one of the original aliens

Bursting from the Jockey perhaps...

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

There are no Aliens.

And you're taking the tracks too literal. That Weyland track could be near the beginning. The other, towards the end.

Or, it's a Space Jockey.

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

AHHH! It said Yutaini on the thingy!

So Yutaini is like apple or something? Weyland is Microsoft....

I don't think I'm taking them too literally. Usually the title of the tracks fit with the scenes in the movies..

I could see the Weyland track being played when
we first see Peter Weyland as an old guy
Space Jockey track being played when we see the hologram of the Jockies running, and then "Return of an Old Friend" (or whatever) could be when we see (if we see) a Xeno bursting from the Jockey, or when we see the Xenomorph wall mural thing..I think it'd definitely fit better with the wall mural.

Not saying it will happen this way, I just think it would make more sense.

Hmm, now I really hope it's playing during the reveal of the wall mural...

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

But it could be the mural. I could see that.

I don't know. I hope the tracks aren't in order. Other wise....well....eh

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

We won't see a Xeno.
......

This looks like a Xenomorph. This is the wall mural. This is what I was talking about.

If this mural doesn't play a huge role in the movie, and is only seen for a few seconds or so..I think the track would fit perfectly. A small little hint. Idunno

..and I see you already replied to that, so this post is pretty irrelevant now. Well, I'm having internet connection problems and I'm going to post it anyway.

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

I think it would fit that scene with the mural perfectly. Only problem, the track is titled "Friend from the Past" and this movie takes place BEFORE all the other Alien movies. Might not mean anything, but worth noting.

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

Could be, or it could be referring to the fact that Alien was so long ago. Our friend from the past..from 1979, that no one has ever made correctly since.

If it's not played during the reveal of some Xenomorph-related thing.. I really think it'll be when we see
Weyland
.

Yeah, like Larry said, it might be a meta reference. It's our friend from the past.

Because I said it, and you know it makes sense. :D

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

We won't see a Xeno.
The movie wont be about them. Yet on numerous times by multiple people we have been told the last segment of the movie will be a massive fan wanky moment for the fans. So i think we will see one, maybe the origins or at least something at the end that may lead to another movie that will feature them more prominently.

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

So is this movie out next month? I haven't seen any advertising at all yet on tv, anyone else?

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

I dont know if this has been covered yet or not,but its been said we wont see any alien(zenomorphs) in promethius, unless they dont plan on showing us the chestburster from the space jockey, then thats not completely accurate.I think the last scene we see will be the chest burster breaking out of the space jockey.

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

I know I've never seen a movie where the director lied all the way up to release day. :rolleyes2

I wish more people would lie about their projects, like when a game studio or a director gets asked a question about something they really don't want to reveal, I don't know why they don't just make something up and throw people off. Most of the time they'll be like "well, we can't talk about that" which of course means YES

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

Talking of this; the planet they land on isn't LV-426 right; so will we even see the scene from the beginning of Alien or will we just be led to believe that it happened after the events of the last scene of Prometheus?

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

Supposed to be Zeta 2 Reticuli, but that was in the same system as LV-426. I always felt LV was a moon of Zeta, but am unsure. It could just be another planet in the same solar system...

Re: Official Alien Prequel/Prometheus Discussion Thread

In the Empire article, this quote from Damon Lindeloff makes me think we will see the Alien in the films closing: "You think about chestbursters and facehuggers and parasites that need human hosts in order to gestate, so there's that level of expectation. Now, if you go and do those exact things, people have seen them now in 5 or 6 movies, and video games, and lots of fan fiction and some not-so-great fan fiction. But at the same time, if you go to a Rolling Stones concert, they better play Sympathy For the Devil. But hopefully they save it for the encore. And let's leave it at that"

I really think The Alien will be seen at the end of the film. I hope so anyway. I want this to stand on it's own, but I so want to see the Big Chap shot by Sir Ridley Scott again!
