Thanks for being careful with spoilers and whatnot - I am going into this one pretty cold having avoided 90% of spoilers.

The best way I went into it not knowing a huge amount and came out all the better for it IMO

Not to mention the indoctrination BS of Aliens being our Creators.Hollywood has been pushing their 'Alien' indoctrination agenda full force in the last few years.Take notice to them calling everything Alien(Thor,TMNT etc) Ridley Scott is one of the Elite,likely a 33rd Degree Free Mason...Movies are not made for just entertainment purposes alone,but to force a fake 'religion' or false agenda to persuade the public away from the Truth.

I liked the Hammerpedes and their scene best.

I don't know what to make of the giant starfish. I have to say, I haven't quite worked out the logic of the "goo" and how it affects or infects other beings. Some get sick, some get preggy, some turn to zombies.

I also think the Fifeld scene was one of the best, scariest, but also the weakest idea in the movie -- 'zombies' just don't fit here for me. Could have been something a little more interesting.

I would have liked to see that 'goo' make use of the biological elements as well as the mechanical elements -- breaking down everything to make a whole new 'lifeform'... that would lead us to our traditional biomechanical A L I E N down the line.

The only logic in this movie is that there is no logic.

I knew someone would zero in on that word. I like your other line best: "I went in not knowing much and I came out not knowing much."

The movie does pose more questions than answers, but I think that's what happens when you get your answers.

One thing is clear: the idea of the "son destroys the father" is critical to your analysis of this movie.

Saw it twice at the IMAX in Sydney the other day... It looks amazing in 3D.

Love the opening scene. Hated the "ALIEN" squid design... WTF where they thinking!? David's head getting ripped off was unexpected. Ending fight scene between the Engineer and squid was disappointing. The ending with them flying away in the Engineers ship was laughable--how good is that David, huh?

My take: the Engineers create life on planets, then wait for that life to reach a level of intelligence/technology where they are capable of following the clues they left behind to find them. Then the Engineer judges them and decides if their species is worthy of living or not
