this movie is far from craptastic. it is effin GOOD. it would've been great if there were less plot holes in it...

I mean, imagine if this movie ended with the Space Jockey sitting in the ship, and the Alien bursting out.

Well, then we'd have no questions, and it'd be the so predictable.

Now, the movie went in such a huge left turn that it gave us something interesting, rather then a full circle type deal.

Who wants predictability? Not me...and I'm one of the biggest ALIEN fans here.

It would have been so easy to end it on LV-426 and set up for ALIEN.
But this...this opens a whole new universe of possibilities...and I'm excited to see where it goes.

This is one of the best Science Fiction films of the last 12 years. Next to District 9.

It had a bit of everything.

And it looked fantastic. I could find flaws maybe. But eh. I'm too happy about the out come.

vickers was kinda dodgy. i THINK she was weyland's kid but left UN-recognized as he wants a son. i dont think she's a robot...1she screamed like a baby dying(how many androids do that? none that i can remember);2if she was a robot, she could have avoided her death running sideways.lolz

What is the biological makings of the goo? Is it a weapon that mutates all lifeforms into something more evolved?

the space worms turned into vagi-snake. humans, we have fifield being the final by product of that infection. he gets to be a rampaging zombie mofo. i think that was their "final solution" for the human cleansing agenda.
i'm thinking, infected gets to kill the un-infected unless they get infected...i dont think infected fifield was aimed to propagate its neo-species, it was more like kill and die arrangement.

And did anyone really look at the mural? It looked like a squid like creature, with a Xeno underneath it.

i like to think its Cthulhu...to stuff those religious undertones in one blow.

Was David told to infect Halloway? Or did he do it because he could? Or because he wanted to see what happens?

had the impression he was under the orders of geriatric weyland.

I was just saying questions that weren't answered.

But I don't think the Jockey's want to wipe us out. I mean, they do...but the reason is because we are the only beings that can be used with this goo. Like a incubator.

Once the Xeno evolves, then it can be incubated anywhere, anytime, with anything,.


So we can get stupid ____ like this...

Man...after looking at this thing for a minute, it looks like it's a manual of some kind. Like a guide to what this weapon does.

It creates the protohugger, which then creates the protoalien.

It shows the steps. Kinda like this....

But then it evolves into what we know.

There is quiet a bit of new information in the art book. It refers specifically to the alien mural as an altar.

You know all this talk of running side ways , I almost got hit by a car a month or two back and when something is coming straight at you depending on the width you just tend to naturally move forward. I'm not sure I'd have ran sideways either.
They could have ran sideways and still been squashed.

You know, i'm thinking about why people think this movie is so ____ing godawful, and is the worst thing ever made by a human....

I can understand disappointment...but come the hell on.

The Protoxeno had an umbilical cord too right? Would that help to explain why it had grown more advanced then a standard chestburster. I also though that the P/X was bigger simply because the squid (facehugger) was bigger; hence a bigger embryo.

The engineers are just bigger as well.

Well, I am leaving to run errands then go to see this one on Imax. Pretty pumped - not worried cause I am not expecting nor wanting a direct Alien movie and know I aint getting one.

Thanks for being careful with spoilers and whatnot - I am going into this one pretty cold having avoided 90% of spoilers.
