Acid in the face, he then falls into the goo on the floor. Comes up and then is all

WHAT!? That picture shows it all -- that's his visor melting from the acid. The hammerpede squirted acid on his visor when he cut off the head. The visor started smoking. We saw the other guy screaming as the headless Hammerpede got into his suit, then we came back to see the shot above.

Yeah the scientists were 'kill me now, my iq is 4' dumb.

Another thing that bugged me quite a bit: how willingly and quickly Capt was willing to kill himself off the word of the main archaeologist woman. He barely knew her, so I would think it would take more than 20 seconds for a guy to be convinced to blow up his ship with him and rest of crew on it

I don't remember that. So what is the goo doing? Are you guys suggesting that it is the goo melting his visor? If so, why have the acid spray at him then? If not, then what does falling into the goo have to do with this then, if its acid-melted plastic on his face?

What's on this face in your mind? Is this some trick to defend against the zombie idea?

The acid is melting the helmet, but the goo got on his face from falling in the puddle. That's why he mutated.

But that's the question: did he mutate? He looked like a burned face to me when he became a ... wait for it.... zombie.

Whether he got a little goo on him -- which would defeat the idea of the visor caving in on his face without an airhole -- doesn't matter. He had a whole hammerpede in his mouth when they found his dead body. So was it some molecular goo or was it the hammerpede that set up house later that made him wake up as a zombie?


Fact is, they should have used that transformational creature they apparently cut.

Just saw the movie, all i can say is:

WTF?!

It explained NOTHING and is a confusing mess, they might as well condensed the whole movie into a 5 min trailer for the sequel. This is bullsh**

It started off promising enough up until the point the 2 scientist get killed by the acid/hammerpede. I thought awesome here's where everything unfolds, but NO the movie just fell off a cliff after that.

1) The space jockey with busted chest in Alien was NEVER recreated, i kept hoping for at least THAT MUCH but no.

2) None of the monster in the movie looked like an alien, when the medical unit pulled that thing out of the girl's belly, i thought finally but no that turned into some octopus crap. Then the final version has the alien head but it is so different than any alien...

3) The origin of alien, or prometheus own story - origin of human etc..none were ever explained, not even a tiny scrap of it. Or why they want to kill us, or who they are, or what they are doing here with those things, or what are those things. Nothing nada

4) The whole thing with the old man was again completely retarded, there was no conspiracy or any twist, just him trying to ask for longevity. And the finale when they finally meet a live one turned into another ___show, no explanation nothing...just kills them...oooookkkie

5) And the guy turn into a zombie, wtf is that...

6) Also why did the android pour that black ____ into the guy's drink and made him sick(with alien inside?), i thought it was for his master's plan but that wasnt it. So again wtf?

7) Not a single thing was explained, i walked out feel like just watched a really bad horror movie...

Also didnt the predator create the aliens as explained in avp...do those guys finally turn into predators then?

FAIL, just FAIL....

Ok, I get that you were expecting an alien prequel - which this is not, but I don't understand your first question: recreate the space Jockey with busted chest?

You mean something showing them making aliens and those aliens turning on the Space Jockeys?

I dunno - we aint even on the same moon. Aside form Spacey Jockeys being in the movie, and a sorta semi quasi birthing scene of an Alien, this is a pretty different movie

It's funny the amount of people saying that they didn't like the film or they have certain issues with it yet they openly say they're going to see it for a second time. I'm sure that Fox and Ridley thank you for your money.

whatever, this film sucks. If it was a standalone movie it would be killed, only reason it got people defending it is because its link to alien, yet they explained nothing and only adds contradictions, it's an insult.

I just googled and found out, the writer was damon lindelof - the same _____ktard who wrote lost including its ending. That explained so much why everything was complete bullsh**.

Why ridley scott let this moron anywhere near a franchise as treasured as alien is beyond anyone's understanding.

Saw this last night, and now i'm starting to understand some of the more critical reviews i've seen on it: The visuals are amazing, the cinematography is amazing, the acting is amazing, but the plot was one giant cluster____ that does'nt hold up very well if you tthink about it for more than a second.

I won't repeat anymore of what's been said already, but i have a question:

I'm wondering what happened to that doctor chick with the irish (scottish?) accent, last i saw of her she was prepping shaw for cryo, then after the escape scene she just up and dissapeared. Did she show up again and i missed it or did she go down witht the ship?

It's perfectly reasonable to like a movie but still see faults in some aspects of the storytelling.
