Ridley Scott has been hard at work on his new Alien-prequel-that-isn't-an-Alien-prequel 'Prometheus', and today we have some interesting news. It's been confirmed that the title of the film (while also being a symbolic nod towards the Greek Titan who brought fire to mankind) is actually the name of the ship in the film. They've also added two new crew members: in addition to Janek (Idris Elba) and Vickers (Charlize Theron), they've recently added Chance (played by UK TV star Emun Elliott) and Ravel ('Sunshine' actor Benedict Wong).
So once again it's likely that the storyline will revolve around the crew of the Prometheus as they encounter something they've never seen before (much like the original 'Alien') and that while the Xenomorphs from the original series will appear, they may only be a small part of a much larger story that will supposedly cover much more of the mythology surrounding the mysterious "Space Jockeys" and how the events in the original series eventually came to be.
It's also been revealed that rather than using enitirely CG aliens, the films will instead use real actors in makeup and augment them with visual effects. A scout on the set recently reported:
"Though security on the set is very tight with the good weather, dock doors have been open and cast and crew have been enjoying lunch outdoors. I can confirm seeing 3 aliens having lunch. Not the whole costume but blueish costumes and the unmistakable heads hanging around their shoulders... The alien heads were the same shape but no markings, only a plain bronze colour. As for the suits black boots and shoulder pads the rest was a Chelsea blue body suit [that] could be for SFX"
