I can understand someone watching the film for the first time and coming in to share their opinion, but most of these people have been "sharing their opinion" for months now.

It's like they feel they need to keep us in our place. Prometheus is a bad film and we all need to be reminded of it time and time again.

I really hope the sequel gets made, and I hope it's every bit as brilliant as Prometheus is so these people will have another "disappointment" to waste their times *****ing and moaning about.

They'll pay to see it anyway.

You misunderstood. I'm talking specifics. Where the SW PT shares the same characters (Obi Wan) as the OT, Prometheus does not.

There's another U-shaped spacecraft, yes, but it's not the same one from Alien. There's another engineer/space jockey, but it's not the same one from Alien. Right now there's nothing that is carried over into the other film making it a prequel. It's just a separate story based in the same universe.

"Grow up" coming from someone whose only purpose here is to stir up arguments. Real mature, genius.

Ok brainiac, stop with the juvenile chit chat for a minute and actually explain what you mean? Please feel free to quote my post "in context", I would love to know what basis you use to come up with your accusations.
Or is that a little too adult or mature a response for you to deal with?

Come on, tell us please? Apart from critiquing the movie based on my own opinions what else in my post offends you?

Actually, it doesn't bother me when people don't like the film. What does is the "It's crap :lol :wave" bull**** that's been popping up.

What the hell is that? How does that make for an interesting....well..anything? Even people who LOATHE the film, make a better argument then that, one that's worth debating.

I liked the movie; I just wished they’d explained the chest buster Alien Pilot.

ahhh, there's the wall of text reminiscent of star puffs.

this visually stunning movie with DUMB as shat script and bland characters can all go to....

Why? It's not the same planet or Jockey
prequels are lame because you know the ending

(see The Thing Prequel)

although it wasn't too terrible, just ok...

ACTUALLY this was the only Alien film with a complex script and complex characters

You DO know for a 100% fact that Ridley ****ing LOVES Aliens...right? And that he and Cameron are good friends who were going to WORK ON AN ALIEN 5 TOGETHER BACK IN 2003. The only reason it didn't pan out, was due to AvP.

So everything you said is ****ing bull****.

I never said he didn't like it as a film. He did as a whole, however he was angry they didn't approach him for the sequel.

Wrong. I quoted Ridley Scott directly

He said "Prometheus has the DNA of Alien, but none of those subsequent films".

Deal with it.

No it's not.
But I'm glad you like it.
Visually I love the movie, and there are two top notch characters and performances in there (Fass and Theron).

The fact that you think Theron was the best performance when she was easily the worst says a lot..... lol

nothing against Charlize, but yea, wasn't a fan of Vickers.

Shaw, Weyland, David on the other hand = some of the best Science Fiction characters in general.

When he says "DNA" he means that in both a literal and figurative sense.

The monsters are literally taken from the DNA of the aliens (in some form) as well as the feel and elements of the original Alien.

He was pissed he didn't do Aliens. But that doesn't mean he hates that Aliens exists.

Per some interview in 1996...

Ridley Scott: It's always a tough job to follow a successful film into a sequel film. Particularly in the instance of a film which is essentially driven by a fairly horrific character. I always regard the Alien as the eighth character. It can never be as frightening. You've seen it. Therefore what I think Jim's film is was an excellent action piece. It's difficult, like doing the Exorcist II. I think what they're going to have to do now, when they do Alien 4, is to reinvent what it is. They've got to make it fresh. Because I think [director David] Fincher was really pushing uphill on the third one. He's very efficient and creative and everything else, but he was still stuck with the old Alien. It can't be frightening; you've seen it. In the original, like the shark in Jaws, you don't see much of it. There is a book and a CD-ROM sequel to Blade Runner happening. The book stands to be very interesting. He's been working on it for almost two years. My involvement was granting interviews from time to time. He's a smart writer, so I think its going to be quite an interesting book.

Deal with that.

Throw as many substanceless smileys as you want. It's true.
and Alien was attacked by critics in the day for its flat characters. Ridley Scott admitted it was just a rollercoaster ride and attempted to fix this with Blade Runner

DNA means DNA
Queen is not canon

Can you read?
This is exactly what I said. He liked Aliens as a film.

Deal with THAT
LOL

Shut the **** up already. Jesus christ.

Aliens is canon. Period. Ain't no changing that. If Ridley Scott did, there would be HELL to pay. You can count on that.

No it isn't. Ridley Scott says.

It's an amusing Cameron fan-fiction. Ripley dying at the end of Alien is the true ending.
And no there won't be any H3LL 2 Pay, because he's already done it.

U JELLY BRO?
