It's true now. There hasn't been a GOOD SOLID Alien or Predator film since the 80's. Which is just....really sad.

Just wondering, despite the continuity/Predator camaraderie, what you didn't like about Predators?

EDIT: re-reading, yes, there hasn't been a solid one, but I found Predators entertaining.

I like a lot about Predators. I think it's an OK movie. Not a GOOD SOLID movie.

Not really. Nothing has gotten it right yet. Which is a shame. Someone might, some day. It would be nice to see.

I edited my post, as I really enjoyed Predators but as you said, not entirely decent etc... I do wish that Royce would have been able to come back.

Im wondering where a sequel will go from here. Because all though end of the movie ended on a "cliff hanger" its not like the next movie can pick up from there. Otherwise the movie would only star 1 character and a head. And we need a full new team and such.

Im wondering if the next movie would start with a rescue team for the Prometheus. Turn up, find **** went down then head after the trail of Shaws Jockey ship or whatever. Then maybe they can meet up with her later on kinda like Noland in Predators. Or how the colonial marines found newt.

well the universe is a really big place. Both species have met already even if the movies are not canon.

I know the movies blow but the idea is still good. That's why the comics of AVP and the game were so famous, because the idea in itself is a good one.


I know Predators should not show up in Prometheus or Alien again, but a little nod would be nice. Something that would let hardcore fans know that a Predator was there or something.

Perhaps the humans on the next movie could have a gun or something that came from Predator technology. Like if they got some of the Pred technology and copy it. That would be nice.

I meant fans of both. A lot of people are big fans of both.

Is like some people are only fans of predator, but I think most fans of Aliens at least love the first Predator. So for fans of both movies and Alien fans that love Predator I kinda wish there was a little hint in the next movie about the predators. something small, something that will take 3 seconds. a mask or something.

The alien skull in Predator 2 was a perfect teaser for the comic series. I would love to see a small hint like that again someday, but not until the Alien and Predator franchises have had another few solid movies made. Not until they get back on track.

I just want them to focus on making quality films of each franchise separately for now.

AvP definitely is an interesting concept. I think if AvP and AvP:R were never made, many people would be much more open to the idea.

I personally think they fit so well together and could make for a very amazing series. You just don't put people like the Strausetards in control of something with so much potential.

Not sure how I feel about ever putting predators and engineers together though.

I always imagined the Space Jockey race as being so far advanced that predators would seem like ants to them.

Predators would be ancient, but jockeys would have been around since the dawn of time. Something so old, mysterious and intelligent. Super beings creating a nightmarish terror that would be the end of them billions of years past. And having no relation to human beings.

I love the direction Ridley went with Prometheus, but I still greatly desire to see the vision that I think most of us originally had of the space jockey brought to the screen. Them being "alien" in the truest sense.

I love the Celtic fight. I also love the Queen scar fight. pretty much the only reasons to watch the movie.
