That's because the original (besides the height/size difference Celtic mentioned) was never meant to be more than a static background piece. Once the decision was made to change that, the look and design had to change as well since now that static object needed to be functional.

Okay dude you're just not getting it. We all know the Engineers are the Space Jockeys. I was making a joke that since the SJ's shrunk you could just pretend that the new ones are a different species that wear the skulls of the old ones causing the humans to mistakenly assume that the large elephant people are just a "suit" for the smaller human ones. Over. Your. Head.

Obviously. One's been dead for a long time, and grew out if it's chair. The other...didn't.

One was also made in 1979, by HR Giger. The other was made in 2011 by another production company.

Not everything requires a nerdy explanation. Sometimes **** is just what it is.

They're the "same" as far as they both represent the exact same character/creature.

crows, when you say they're not the "same" you're talking about their appearances. Which I explained in my last post. That's why they look different. It's not because they're different characters/creatures. It's because one was essentially a set piece and the other had to function and move around.

the problem is that it wouldn't show up on advanced search. I typed crow and nothing came out for it (just other names with the word crow on them). his name didn't appear since it was not spelled correctly. So I had no idea.
