Well if you're going to sell out, then...

What if a particularly ambitious Engineer decides to gather all these hybrid lifeforms and place them on a big isolated island preserve? He could have a giant complex dedicated to studying their behavior and charging tourists to see them! Then Jeff Goldblum appears and says "Chaos Theory", then everything breaks down. The creatures escape and start killing each other and the tourists! Shaw is vacationing with dufflebag David at the time and together they must figure out how to survive.

And then the engineer wakes up and has to go to work cause it has all been a dream.

I just feel that Ridley Scott has a golden opportunity to fix the AVP storyline, the movies in the past sucked so he can start from zero and make a really amazing AVP story.

Or at least add a hint of the Predators existence in the Prometheus Universe and someone else can maybe make another movie adding the Engineers aliens and the predators in the future

Ridley Scott is a very lucky man right now. He could make the movie about anything and fix the AVP franchise.

He could have a predator that was taken hostage by the Engineers and breaks loose without any of his technology and has to escape only using his cunning intelligence.

And then the engineer wakes up and has to go to work cause it has all been a dream.

But what does it really mean?

I think they could have done better things with the Space Jockeys/Engineers but I just love so much how the finished film turned out.

Then Engineer beating the hell out of the crew, watching Shaw flee, then abruptly turning and getting into the chair while the music is booming followed by Shaw racing to get in contact with Jadek, etc., the ship rising, the Prometheus taking off, and then everything up until end credits, the whole nine yards. I love it.

I was very disappointed when I learned that the Space Jockey was just a suit, but I couldn't be more happy with the turn out. I absolutely love the whole "Gods and Engineers of space" angle. Creating humans, visiting Earth throughout history, etc.

I'd still have liked to see the other side of the story though. The one where the Jockey has no relation to humans and isn't a suit. Where the human race isn't the centerpiece of...everything.

Two of my favorite scenes are when the pilot seat and juggernaut are rising. Seeing the pilot seat for the first time and actually seeing our 33-year-old derelict take flight, combined with the music in those scenes...chilling perfection. :monkey2

The music as it's rising is just amazing. How this didn't even get nominated for best score is beyond me. :slap

Well you could always pretend that the Engineers are sadistic infiltrators that hijack Space Jockey ships and wear the the skulls of the large elephant men as masks.

So the SJ in the first ALIEN really was a different species with its own mystery. :)

Indeed, that was a beautiful visual with a matching score to boot.

Really? Thanks for clearing that up.

:lol

Yep. David surrounded by the planetary holograms and the Juggernaut rising are instantly classic scenes.

Yes, that specific scene. It reminded me of the stellar cartography scene from the Star Trek Generations movie but on a mind blowing level.

I wish I had seen this movie in Imax. Would have been incredible.

100% agree. I love the score!!! its amazing!!! totally got snubbed. Bought it the second it was released, I listen to it all the time.

Could you or anyone provide an Amazon link to that score. I'd like to buy it as well. Thanks!
