Are people looking at a specific reference shot when they say the dome is off? As I've pointed out many times, the helmet was different from scene to scene even in ANH. Looking at the Marmit prototype the whole mask and especially the dome is way, way off, yet people were saying that was great before.
As for this body and Chewie - Vader is much too bulky for Chewie - it wouldn't work at all.

Looking at the Marmit prototype the whole mask and especially the dome is way, way off, yet people were saying that was great before.
As for this body and Chewie - Vader is much too bulky for Chewie - it wouldn't work at all. In fact Mayhew's build lends itself to just adding extenders to a regular trooper body in the mid-section and upper and lower arms.

I hate to agree with this statement, but unfortunately it's 100% true. As great as the rest of this figure looks(and it does look fantastic) that dome is way too small when looking at is straight on. It looks like they gave him a Beetlejuice head.

Yeah, I should have specified that my gripe is with the dome, not the entire head.

I'm not sure if you are referencing me or not, but I said it HAD the lenses but not the asymetrical paint on the mask that I wish it did.
