It just didn't bother me as much as I thought it was going to. I had thoughts of doing both the helmet mod and the height mod too, but really liked the figure as it came out of the package. If I get another one down the road, maybe I'll go to town on that one.

Vader's left leg shorter than the right

Hi.
I just received my Sideshow Darth Vader. Really great detail on him! My stormtrooper looks a bit small beside him :p

But, the left leg is a bit shorter then the right resulting in him leaning to the left. I's the boots detachable? I pulled pretty hard in them without anything happening.

Is it something that I'm doing wrong or is it a production problem?

I tried to take a pic of it, but its not that noticeable on the picture.

Re: Vaders left leg shorter then the right

The boots are attached with a peg, but if pulling them didn't get them to come off, maybe heating them with a hair dryer would help? Or maybe the right one is not pushed in fully?

Re: Vaders left leg shorter then the right

"Short Leg Syndrome" is a common SST trait. All the Buck figures have a short left leg; don't know about the Prometheus, as I only have 1(Piett), but it wouldn't surprise me...PS

Do you have details on this mod?
I'm guessing its only the upper body that will be modded since its too big compared to the legs?

If its not too hard im intressted in doing this mod since I have a limited area to display my figures on this figure will share space with other 1/6 figures.

Personally, I'd rather just enjoy the figure than butcher him. Yes he's a tad too tall, but it still works and it's better than ruining him and having to get replacement parts.

On mine I removed about 1/8 from the thighs and the mid-torso section, which put him right where he should be, height-wise. Eventually I may shorten his arms a bit, but his current pose (hands on hips under cape, as in first scene) allows me to put this off indefinitely...PS
