in my opinion, he's just too tall for me, and has a bit of the monkey arm thing. i'd just wonder if an HT could do him justice. maybe w/ some leg extensions to give him some height.

Actually, the arms fall proportionately with a human body. Shorter arms would give him T-rex syndrome. As for height, I really haven't been that impressed with any of the mods we've seen to date and tossing him on a normal body would give him a bobblehead and monkey paws.

Why would you want to give Vader more Height? The figure already towers over every Sideshow, Hasbro, Medicom and Marmit 1:6 figure release so far.

Some even feel that Vader is too tall.

I think you misunderstood. My understanding is that Mookeylama wants to use a Hot Toys body with extenders, not put extenders on SST's Vader.

So to fix the SS Vader's dome...is it as easy as taking the SS dome portion off of the helmet and popping on the Hasbro?

Well lets see which Mods, was a while ago, Obviously I did the helmet Mod. pretty much as simple as popping of the SS helmet & taking the Hasbro dome & dremmeling out the peg & supports til you get the fit you like, also padded up the body, (under chest controls & shoulder armour with the foam from the packing. In the pics my Vader has wire in the cape, but has been removed since (only because I like the static look for ANH Vader) if ESB Vader comes out without a wire I will be wiring that cape up for sure

A little late, but so glad to join the party.

Very nice figure, can't wait to play around with the poses. I love how he is bigger then all, but still fits in a detolf :0

looks sweet next to the T800 man! Figured he'd be bigger but looks bigger than I expected when actually next to him.

i've tried searching the 485 pages, and "mod" is too short to search, and helmet gets about 2000 hits lol

The figure is far too big. Coupled with that weird helmet means i'm still glad i passed on this figure. Hopefully if SS do make another version it'll look more accurate. I'll stick to my Medicom Mini Me version...

I don't know which Hasbro figure you have to look for, but you can try contacting Hurricane, he sells a set that includes the helmet and shoulder bells.
A bit difficult to get him to answer mails or PM's though.

I finally finished customizing my Vader. I was held up months ago, because the custom body I was using had a broken knee. Here's some pics of what I did to fix it and how my Vader looks complete:

I'm very happy with how Vader's turned out now. He body looks fuller and thicker, the height is more appropriate, and he has much more articulation (not that Vader moves very dynamically, but it's nice to have the better ability to pose him).
