Pff, this fig is so inaccurate, look at how wrinkly his sleeves were in the film. Sideshow, how could you get this so wrong??

Thanks for the post.

Made me go out and burn my figure.

@ PJB-1138 - yup, got inspired with numerous takes like this. hence my disclaimer "did my own version.." have the clothing on top of the armor. to give credit, you guys started that take :)

think there's any interest in a Medicom Jedi Vader??

never really liked him... Sideshow one I modded is much nicer...

thoughts?

i really did this out of boredom but once i did this & took pics i could see a difference for myself. not a huge deal but like i said i was bored and wanted to try it out & somewhat pleased..........:peace

Once you get that thing centered/set proper, it'll look like a million bucks.
Good call on the upgrade. I have the dome and a lforigno cape ready for when I re-aquire this guy.

yea looking at the pics both are a little jacked up.................my hands arent as steady as they used to be..........:monkey2

I'm sorry guys, the Hasbro dome looks lame. :dunno Lower the torso and lower the helmet itself. And if you have balls widen the dome.

Whats the scoop with the height on this guy? In scale he looks to be about 8ft tall. People shortening him somehow?

There are a few different methods to shorten him if you're brave enough to mod a $200 figure. They are all in here somewhere. I've seen hacking and removing sections of the thighs, but it seems the popular method is to replace his mid-section with that of a clone trooper (I think). The connecting points are similar. Then pad the waist a bit to fill in the suit. This bring him pretty close to scale without damaging anything.

Have to disagree. I used a modified Hasbro dome and it looks fan f'n-tastic! MUCH better that just modifying the body or existing Sideshow dome which sucks.

Yeah, I totally regret selling mine. I hope SS re-releases them.

I do too! right now I'm thinking of just getting either a blackhole stormtrooper or some other trooper that's cheaper than what the aftermarket price is for a storm trooper. and just repaint it with a nice glossy white and then detail the helmet to the right colors. It's the cheaper way to go right now

Agree to disagree, I think it looks ok just not better. Both are missing the widow's peak.

How much are they going for? Hmm...
