crap crap crap!!!!

I height modded mine... gave him a better Star Wars pain job... re-sculpted the peak on the helmet... NOW I know I need the Hasbro dome... gorram.

anybody know where to find one?? there was a sale thread, but it's over...

so even the 2 pack (with maul) will suffice? just looking at some net photos but can't seem to check if vader's a 3 piece..

you still have to paint the hasbro dome to match the SS?

Yes. The 2 pack one is the figure I got and it is a 3 piece helmet. I did not have to paint my dome. I think it looks great as is.

No kidding on the dome. Makes a big difference. Amazing ss got that so wrong. Nobody's perfect I guess.

SST didn't get the dome wrong... they got the placement of the dome wrong. with a little adjustment, the SST helmet / dome can look spectacular.

THAT'S what I'm thinking too!!! do you need to cut away the head, inside the helmet at all to get it to sit right?!? Can it be flared a little more?!?

yes, removing the inside of the helmet is key... the flare takes care of itself once positioned on the mask properly.

really? So you have to do some dremeling or something on the SS helmet to get it to sit right eh? The only thing I thought about the helmet was that it was too narrow. Maybe like you said, from the angle it's placed on. Interesting. I think I'll keep the SS dome as is and use the Hasbro one for display. I can always put the SS one back on at any time. :)

Basically the supports on the inside of the dome need to be whittled down so it sits a bit lower and over his brow. There have been some very good tutorials, but not sure where they are in the thread :huh

yeah... I searched around, but no tutorials... the inside of my dome is dremmeled out... no supports left... but it's not sliding back over the neck enough... might have to remove some of the top of his head...

scared...
