Many thanks to King, GB, Shortie and whomever else I grabbed ideas from. It's hard to be much happier than I am now with this figure.... Four years after release, right?
I can't cut in a straight line to save my life. I'd definitely send 'em back to get trimmed and I'm assuming hemmed. Another thing I can't do.Thanks, guys! Yeah, the robes need a trim, that's for sure. I was going to ask Lance if he would do it if I mailed them back to him. I get nervous cutting fabric.
My god. If it wasn't for the background, this would look 1:1. Seriously Flosi, you did a damn fine job. Is he on a KP body after all? I know you said you ordered it but judging from that gap between the chest box and belt....I can't tell if it is a KP. I can't seem to achieve such a gap on mine.
Congrats dude!
Crazy right??? And I sold my first Vader. : Still amazes me. I take it out of my detolf a lot.
Looks great Flosi! Really nice work!
What hands are you using for Ben? The have a nice old-guy look to them
Damn fine job ButtFlossi
Holy crap, Flosi! That looks amazing. Gorgeous!
You know, Cking suggested I add some padding to the shoulders when doing mine, so I did. It brought them up just a bit. The crotch pad rests just below the seam on the body suit. I have a small clear rubber band there to hold the robes in place then the belt above it. The box kinda just stuck where it was supposed to right below the chest armor. In some scenes of ANH there's a bit of a gap there too, but in most it seems to be right under the armor.
And yeah, on the KP now. What I noticed on yours that changed my mind was the slope of the shoulders, as Darthrazz mentioned a few posts back. It has the same overall look now as Prowse did in the first film. I do think he was a little boxier, if that's a word, through the shoulders in ESB and ROTJ.
Yup. Like Hector said, TTM19. I can't buy enough of those damn things! They just look so natural. I have them on my Bespin Han and Gandalf too, so they've been going on all my project figures.
