Seems silly, but I never realized how big Prowse was until my wife pointed him out in A Clockwork Orange (didn't even know he was in the movie :slap).

Great looking Vader, FLOSI. When I opened the page, I initially thought it was a guy in a suit, so mission accomplished. Robes maybe need to be shortened just a bit (or maybe not... seem to remember in Empire, at least, his robes drag on the ground behind him... need to watch again).

My god. :thud: If it wasn't for the background, this would look 1:1. Seriously Flosi, you did a damn fine job. Is he on a KP body after all? I know you said you ordered it but judging from that gap between the chest box and belt....I can't tell if it is a KP. I can't seem to achieve such a gap on mine.

Congrats dude! :clap

Many thanks to King, GB, Shortie and whomever else I grabbed ideas from. It's hard to be much happier than I am now with this figure.... Four years after release, right? :lol

Crazy right??? :lol And I sold my first Vader. :thwak: Still amazes me. I take it out of my detolf a lot. :)

Thanks, guys! Yeah, the robes need a trim, that's for sure. I was going to ask Lance if he would do it if I mailed them back to him. I get nervous cutting fabric.
I can't cut in a straight line to save my life. I'd definitely send 'em back to get trimmed and I'm assuming hemmed. Another thing I can't do. :ohbfrank:

Really liking this modded ANH Vader. Maybe I will break down at some point in the future and take this task on.

Looks great Flosi! Really nice work!

What hands are you using for Ben? The have a nice old-guy look to them :lecture

You know, Cking suggested I add some padding to the shoulders when doing mine, so I did. It brought them up just a bit. The crotch pad rests just below the seam on the body suit. I have a small clear rubber band there to hold the robes in place then the belt above it. The box kinda just stuck where it was supposed to right below the chest armor. In some scenes of ANH there's a bit of a gap there too, but in most it seems to be right under the armor.

And yeah, on the KP now. What I noticed on yours that changed my mind was the slope of the shoulders, as Darthrazz mentioned a few posts back. It has the same overall look now as Prowse did in the first film. I do think he was a little boxier, if that's a word, through the shoulders in ESB and ROTJ.

Yup. Like Hector said, TTM19. I can't buy enough of those damn things! They just look so natural. I have them on my Bespin Han and Gandalf too, so they've been going on all my project figures.

Great!! Another person I have to worry about buying up ttm19 relaxed hands. :lol They're great hands indeed. I use them for pretty much every figure I have as well.

So you lowered the belt and cod piece and belt lower huh? It doesn't create the illusion that the legs are really short? Can't tell cause you're hiding them. :tap
That's the reason I raised my cod piece and belt so high. It's just above the seam line. But to me, made the legs look short.
It was such a pain to get it to look right. :lol
