I sprayed my dome last night. I have to say, after setting it to look like the EFX pic below I could not be happier:

It's pefection at this point, aside from the widows peak. I showed my wife and told her it's supposed to be Vader from the first movie, and she even said "yeah, when his helmet isn't all shiney and he looks dirty. That looks great!" I almost never get that kind of reaction from her... Ever. Anyway, body comes today. i still need to cut my gloves too.

That's so awesome FLOSI. It's always a good feeling when the wife appreciates it. I know it's rare.

cking just gave me some photo taking advice, so let's hope it helps!

The matte spray I used added just the right amount of dullness too. at least to my eye. I can't wait to get home now so I can start working on it.

I'm about ready to get busy modding my ANH Vader. I was waiting until the new Vader was announced but now I'm just not feeling it. Think I'll have the SS body modded and then get the cape/tunic set. All your pics have really inspired me to make the best Vader I can using the figure I already have!

and i've been thinking of trying to create a widows peak for my hasbro dome. i think a few peeps did this. brinn & pbj perhaps.

Some places still have it instock, well, the limited edition. I've thought about selling some HT crap and picking it up... God knows why I don't.

Yeah, a couple of folks have done it, and I'd like to but I worry about messing the whole thing up.

That's why you find another one to work with. I have a spare but I'm keeping it for the new version. Looks like it might need it too.

Holy crap, guys. I'm so damn happy with this thing!! It's perfect. I'm watching Star Wars and I paused when Vader walks into the Tantive IV. The proportions look spot on. I'm off to cut up more gloves. I trimmed Vader's sleeves by about a half inch, which helped with bunching. Also, leaving just a bit of the second glove rib gives the illusion that there's a seam there. FYI

I love my Legend Vader. It's the one collectible that is safe from being sold.

If I hadn't bought the Sideshow 1:1 Vader I would have definitely dropped on the EFX... problem is I don't know how I'd ever rebox that sucker and selling him I'd likely loose money even thought it's the exclusive

If you can only have one SW item in your collection I think you could do a lot worse than the EFX helmet
