That looks wonderful, just watched New Hope and noticed how black the armor is.

nice fellas! heres my ANH vader along with family portrait . thanks to jedijim for vader and galactiboy for the tony meis cape . using hasbro chest armor.

Which Hasbro Vader is that chest plate from? I might try and pick up a helmet to mod as well.
To the guys who have done this already whats the best/easiest Hasbro version to get? I know it's probably been answered a million times, but looking at them on ebay is bit of a head****.
Are the helmets exactly the same in the "talking Vader" "ultimate villain" "sith lords" sets?

Edit: after a bit of searching I found an old "Anakin/Ultimate Villain" head in the attic..!

They're all the same. As long as it's Hasbro and 12" it'll be same dome on any version.

thanks man! you know i did a google image search and it looks like it was from the electronic talking version. im sure you could paint any of the chest armors too i just used it for convenience. the dome has not been painted on mine either. look forward to seeing it all done

Still if someone really wanted it done they could sand those parts down with the dremel. I may switch it over just to see how everything else fits like the arms and legs. One thing I really didn't like about the KP body was the fit around the arms.

Yes, thats what i was thinking. I was gonna dremel the KP02 down (arms and chest), but I have a spare Arnie body so may try that, they are pretty expensive though so may need to test it first.

If anyone is interested I got a KP03 in today, if you are looking to do the KP switch the new 03 should be perfect. The chest and arms are slightly smaller than the 02, but its the same height.

k...........are the arms better articulated at the elblows on the new one? as in can the come up more than a 45 degree at the elbow?

No, its identical to the 02.

The only difference I see is slightly thinner arms and a smaller chest. Everything else is the same.

Phewww... for a minute I was worried.

The only upgrade I got left on this Vader is maybe replacing the belt boxes with the new light-up ones in a year.

Under the chest and body suit you would never be able to tell.
