Seriously, the difference is negligible. Under all the layers you would never see the difference.

Its just another option.

Lance has not replied to my PM asking if he would trim my cape and tunic. :lol So this begs the question, do I try it myself????

The only really challenging parts would be

a) sourcing the materials
b) assembling the collar and chain.

Otherwise it seems like a pretty simple matter.

I trimmed mine, Buttflossi, you're over thinking it. Its pretty simple.

I trimmed mine as it hung on Vader, I'm sure if I take it out and lay it flat its not an even trim, but hanging it looks perfect.

Just get it done and quit being a sissy lala.

:hi5: Cool. I was just overthinking it, like you said. I want it so it hangs right to ground level.

Hopefully I'll see my set soon , it was shipped out last Wednesday and I live in the state below Lances. Gotta love USPS. Using the stock body so I don't see any triming in my future.

just use sharp scissors. i trimmed mine a bit while he was on the stand so its right at the stand level, if i take him off it's a little long. no big deal at all. you would never see the difference anyway unless you really **** it up.

no drinking & trimming flo.......:lecture

I'll be careful.

If anyone is interested I got a KP03 in today, if you are looking to do the KP switch the new 03 should be perfect. The chest and arms are slightly smaller than the 02, but its the same height.

Cool.

TBH I can't even remember what I didn't like about the KP now. :lol I think it was the articulation in the arms that annoyed me and the arm sleeves being all bunched up. I'd have no problem trimming the sleeves and gloves but I'd have to be 100% happy with the body.
It would seem the new double jointed Arnie body may fix that bit those things are expensive to go dremeling into without knowing you will get the result desired.

Perfect page no# for KD.. :panic: :panic: :panic:

Guys.. I'm almost ready to give in & start a Vader custom.

It's the only way to be sure.. :huh :lol

Although I pre-ordered the Sideshow Vader, I'm still moving forward with my custom Vader project. Just putting the finishing touches on the suit. I need to re-tailor parts of it.

Razz, are you going for articulated wrists?

Yes, I had actually done it years ago on another Vader I had worked on, but have since sold. Here are pictures of the ones from I made in 2007.

They were a bit wide, but the ones I'm making now won't be, I hope! Here's what they looked like on the figure.

Those look great! I just assumed you were cutting the wrist guards off of the existing gloves.

I had thought about buying leather black boots for Vader and popping the shin armor on to those. Are you going that route?
