MaulFan,

You may have answered this, but can his feet lay flat or are the boots too stiff for that?

If that were the case why isn't there a precedence for it in SS history? Why did SS go to painstaking lengths to get the design on each of the 3 Anakin sabers exactly right when they could have just used one basic Anakin saber hilt design and reproduce that for the ANH and ESB Anakin sabers?

simply acknowledging it as a possibility... again, as great as Vader looks, i believe the helmet is closer to ESB and ROTJ then ANH...

and there are precedences... Frankenstein for example...

In fighting stances, you can have one foot flat with the other not flat. The boots are quite stiff.

Here's the thing. Given his size, if the boots were soft, this guy would be taking shelf dives in houses all over without the use of a stand.

However, because of how hard the boots are, if you stand him up and posture him to balance on his own, he will stay in that position, barring any extreme shaking of the ground or furniture he's on.

Vader is one of the most stable figures I own, definitely the most stable Sideshow figure I own, it's been very comforting that I can set him up and go over to my camera at the other end of the room and not worry about him falling over with me too far away to catch him. He hasn't shown any sign of falling over in any pose I've put him in, and has stood upright on my desk for hours and hours without issue.

i think ive seen every pic MF has posted in this thread of vader but bar none this is my fave.........

:rock:rock:rock:rock:rock .....cuz 4 wont do....

I think it really speaks to the quality of this figure that the dome is pretty much the only issue anyone has with it.

Dome schmome! Your pics make V to the A to the D-E-R look amazing Sean, I can't wait for this figure! I can bypass the dome issue and I am sure someone will customize one down the line. Keep em' coming (pics that is) broheim! :rock

Page 2, every single side of it. Pretty much, short of taking a photo of his ass, I think I've shown just about everything on this figure, i suppose I should do some closeups of the boots at some point.

What, no ass shots?! How're we to know if it's the proper curvature? And of course, the shape changed from film to film, so we need to know even more if LFL screwed the pooch and gave him a ROTS derrier. By all means, do give us several shots of the Sith-y rump! We'll be needing several angles, and of course you need to remember that certain lighting will make his tush too toy-ish.

:wacky

This might have been answered before, but is the cape wired?

Nope but, who cares..i hate messing with my ROTS Medicom Vaders cape..took me forever to get it to drape in a realistic manner..only good plus about it is when you want to do a wind swept look with it.
