a year ago, i would have thought topping Medicom's Fett impossible... after the Stormtrooper and Clone, i have a very optimistic outlook...

I feel like LFL is used as a scapegoat more often than not in these situations. What proof do we have that Lucasfilm is asking Sideshow to make these modifications with the intent for less accuracy? This Vader is from ANH. Sideshow can pick almost any frame with Vader in the movie and see how his profile is supposed to be shaped.

I think it is more likely that LFL doesn't seem to care or notice about the accuracy of products sold by Sideshow. Look at how many inconsistencies with the Clone helmet were completely passed over and given the a-okay.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter, Vader is shipping soon.

In any case, it's obvious they were told to change it from what they showed at SDCC.

I agree on that character being better from SSC, i really dislike the Medicom one but, i love their Jango Fett.

The only Boba collectible that i own and truly like is the first Kotobukiya statue of him...and maybe 12inch VOTC Boba for the value and how well it turned out back then.

Nope but, who cares..i hate messing with my ROTS Medicom Vaders cape..took me forever to get it to drape in a realistic manner..only good plus about it is when you want to do a wind swept look with it.

Agreed, I'm not fond of the wire in the Medicom cape either. I think if you're going to do a wire in Vader's cape, it should be along the edge flowing from his neck, not the bottom, be nice if they do an ESB Vader and it has it for Bespin poses.

Nope, just pose the arms backwards, slide it over the shoulder bells, then lift the chest armor a bit and slip it under that and the shoulder bells and pull forward.

I'm sure it'll be even easier for folks if you take off the Vader head, I'm just not going to try that and risk breaking him.

Haven't made all the sizes yet, but this is the graphic I've come up with to make Vader wallpaper.

Maybe try putting the Imperial insignia in behind the "Darth Vader" and centering the text with the insignia behind it...might have it come off as being less bland..but, then again might draw too much attention away from the figure.

Totally agree there. I have the Koto Version 2 and it is one of my favorite collectibles and really the Koto's were the only Bobas that truly captured the character correctly IMO. The Medicom one just never did anything for me, but on the other hand I do have the Jango because I thought that he was just so so much better than Boba. And I was right, he is awesome.

I would love if SS did a Boba.

As for size differences, to me the Fetts were always a shorter character in my head, so I have no problem showing Jango with SS Vader (if I get him, on the waitlist).

You may want to get some extenders for him still though maybe. I really hope SSC first Boba is ESB version, thats my favorite look.

Jango's helmet was just a accessory, I'm sure the actual Jango figure will be much much better.

only real complaint I have with my medicom Boba is the chest armor is spaced too far apart..looks weird.

agreed. i also have this fellow and he looks great! the pose is very cool, and his body language really captures the character's essence, imo.

BRILLIANT!!!!! Vader looks awesome, I wonder how many differences there will be with the ESB or ROTJ Vaders if it's just paint apps and a Tuck of the Tunic I may never have to buy them
