One was up for sale (and sold) on eBay about 6-8 months back.

I thought it was a strange auction at the time (why would anyone have a spare head to sell) but then realised it came from the exact scenario you described - "smashed but not smashed".

That's the only one I've seen during the last 5 years.

Have you guys seen there's now two of these on eBay? No-Reserve auctions too. Well, there's actually three auctions, but two of them are from the same seller. Do any of you think he's legit? I hate when sellers don't post an actual photo or twelve of the piece they're selling. I swear, whenever it comes to big priced statues like this one, you never get a real pic...it's always a stock photo they use.

On a brighter note, for anyone who's interested, a stock photo'd Alien Big Chap eBay auction is how ended up getting that piece. I gathered the nerve to contact the seller (which he was listing as a best offer and was his first selling auction on eBay vs dozens of buying transactions), and he emailed me actual photos of his brand new Big Chap. Very cool dude to deal with.

I wish I could pick up one of these Maquettes, but there's no way in hell I could now. I'd have to give up my Big Chap and that's just too sweet a statue to give up for another. Hopefully for those interested, this guy will be able to provide real pics of both his Preds. Stock photo'd auctions do work out sometimes, as proof with my Big Chap.

Yup. If he does indeed have two he did his potential gains no favours by revealing that... Nevermind listing both at the same time.

He's only been on eBay a couple of months, smells fishy.

I will take a shot on his Reaper if the prices don't get too high. All his statues are listed as sealed. If any of you win a type of auction where the statue is sealed, request them to open it, inspect it for damage and send pics before paying. His feedback looks legit too. And there is no such thing as a cash grab and disappear with Paypal. They will hunt you down if you try to fraud them.

Hell, if one of those exclusive Preds end for much lower than usual, I will try and snag one for trade bait.

If you know what you are doing you can still disappear from PP if you can strike big and fast like this guy seems to be doing. People use fraudulent accounts all the time, spend the money and are gone just like that.

I've yet to here that happen in all my years of collecting. If the guy were making millions fast, I could see one trying that, but for a possible 10k give or take, not sure why anyone would risk internet fraud so blatantly. It just doesn't add up to me as anything "fishy" . If I win something of his, and he doesn't give me the info I desire, I won't pay. If it was this guys intention to defraud someone, it would have to be some newbie.

You can't sell huge dollar stuff without raising more flags, but under 5K stuff is not as watched. People "risk" is all the time. They just buy an anonymous turn key ebay/PP account with limits already raised and go to town for a month or so. The smart fraudsters don't look like fraudsters. If you do decide to buy make sure you cover yourself.
