I can't be the only one who thought the closing ceremonies looked like something MTV put on. Beijing's ceremonies were so much better.

x-cept when the IOC Corporation took over and the Welsh choir sang the Olympic anthem , then all entertainment took a back seat and the I.O.C. took center stage...ugh and too much FRENCH language!

Get over it Muffin, it was all but 5 minutes. The closing ceremonies lasted for hours. Not everything is going to be ace from start to finish. Even your Batman films have those moments, and I say this as a fan. I will say agree with you on one aspect of their performance, Sporty Spice's graining voice is still as annoying as ever... more-so were her ha ha yelps she made. I really don't get why some performers find that in good taste. It just further ruins, what otherwise is a weak song. lol

Ah China won the most gold in Beijing and therefore finished top, it was the US that tried to claim the overall medal count because they couldn't stand not being top for once.

If you're going to bring the population argument in on this than GB hardly finishes first, its more likely New Zealand who finished with 5 golds, thats pretty much one per million people GB would have to have won 62.

Olympics was **** this year. Both ceremonies were crap, the closing was utter drivel. Yeah be proud of being british; George Michael post druggy, One Direction miming, Jessie J slaughtering queen, Ed sheeran murdering Pink Floyd, Kaisers raping The Who. Muse disgraced themselves in my book with that utterly attrocious olympic song thats so cringeworthy.

Just shows the state of British music, let alone Pop music on a whole. Abysmal. Then again, im brought up with Blue oyster cult, Kiss, Judas priest, Maide, Styx, Cheap Trick and so forth by my dad.

Well done to USA, China and UK. Great jobs, Russia also did superb. Shame the ceremonies made me embarrassed to be english

I enjoyed both ceremonies. They were different from Bejing but still good in their own way. Too bad it's all over. It's going to be a long wait until the next games.
