As for rape culture, I assume she means that this is everyone's fault, just like every time a woman is raped. I remember in the early 80's, a 2 year old in Auburn, Maine was stuffed in an oven by her parents and her 5 year old brother was made to watch. They thought she was possessed by Satan. God told them to do it. I guess that was a result of our God culture, huh? Or maybe our kitchen appliance culture.

One aspect of the world I don't understand is what happened to the fear of being caught/persecuted for your crimes? That used to be a deterrent.

I mean, did the mother and boyfriend expect this to go unnoticed?

In this Aaron Hernandez case, gee someone killed this guy in a rental car thats tracable back to the renter......durp.

You shouldn't be committing crimes anyway, but if you can't commit a crime without being obvious that you're the one to do it, you really shouldn't be doing it.

Well, to be honest, just read any accurate history book during war time in virtually any country and you'll hear unspeakable acts of cruelty to children/women/men.
Humans are capable of the most vile of acts. And its always been this way....

Personally I can't think of a better time to be born in than the later 20th century. Anyone who doesn't think that, on balance, things are better now than they've ever been I'd like to hear a good reason for it.

In all due respect since this may be against forum policy, Jesus and God never said kill either. It is sin and a commandment not to in both jewish/christian/muslim/rasta/hindu/buddhist beliefs. However the fact is, people do evil things... and instead of blaming themselves they blame other things or none at all.

And quite frankly Nazism from 1933-45 killed thousands... and was led by no church or religion just a sick man. Now I'll let the discussion end.
