The thing that really pisses me off about them not having any replacements for the exclusive is that you know they are holding a couple back for contests. If they do, I'll be pissed. There should be no reason they can't repalce a damaged item so they can give a perfectly fine one away later.

Considering how many regulars and international versions they made, I can't believe they didn't save 10 or so to use as replacements.

In the past I thought they made a few extras without an edition number on them to use as replacement pieces. When they find out the edition number of the damaged piece, they write it in. I then thought it was generally assumed any of these left over would turn into "artist proofs" and then given out for contests.

Guess not with this then huh? I got my PZ the second day he was released and emailed them that night (or the next morning, I don't remember) and I can't get a repalcement apparently. So unless they only had ONE replacement to give away, they simply didn't have any to begin with I think, which is total BS. Even with an extremely low edtion they need to be able to assure their customers a perfect statue right out of the box.

I would be curious what they would do if an exclusive statue came with its arm broken off.

That is exactly what they are trying to do with my damage. Granted, its nowhere near as bas as RoboDad's, but still, there should be plenty of replacements made. How is it our fault these get damaged in shipping. If anything, it is their fault for not packing them right (mean, the whole left arm being exposed without any sort of padding?). Why should some of us pay and get an inferior product when others get perfectly fine ones? Yeah, they are offering a 15% discount, but I'd rather just have a mint statue.

I hear ya man they are kind of dropping the ball on this one. That is massive BS if they can't give our a replacement regardless of the damage. They have such good customer service too this is surprising to me.

Brant, I don't mean to make light of what you are going through, because, obviously, I understand ;). But I'll be honest. With the amount of light damage I've seen to the pieces I've received over the past year or so, if I were to request a replacement for the ones that were as damaged as your PZ, I would probably have requested 75-80% replacements. I've reached a point where, unless there is physical breakage, I just keep it and find a way to touch it up myself.

Pretty much all of the Universal Monster dios, my SSE Creature PF, my Frankenstein bust, the Eagle vs Fell Beast dio, all of these (and several more) have required paint touch-ups. Fortunately(?), I've had to do so many repairs now that I guess I'm getting pretty good at dry brushing, so my repairs blend seamlessly in, and even I can't remember where they are in most cases (not bragging, just observing ;)).

Probably what they did when my exclusive Aragorn PF came with the front lock of hair broken off. They said, "sorry, no replacements are available. Here's your refund. Have a nice day."

When my Aragorn showed up with the lock broken off, they suggested I glue it back on. I sent it back for a full refund.

Robodad my friend got on the WL on wed and it converted maybe you should throw your name on there or someone else if you cant

I know they are suffering from the economy, but replacements for damaged goods are a necessity to keep good relations with their customers.

That really sucks RoboDad, that is by far the worse damage I've seen to this PF. Mine's just paint damage so I replied back to Sideshow to see if there was a possibilty they could repair it. I imagine it would only take a few minutes of one of their painter's time to fix it.

The repair thought is a good one. Just be careful because you could end up with more damage than you already have due to more back and forth shipping. Do you think they have anymore of those little decals?

I agree that they should offer replacements before contests, etc. You'd think with the extra 125 they churned out, they could have come out with "non-rubbed wristband" editions too.

FYI: If they do give you a partial refund, they will NOT give you ANY reward points for the statue. They will not even give you partial reward points. I've read about this happening on this board before. Make sure you factor in the loss of all rewards points before accepting a partial refund.

Brant, I agree with Robo. It sucks. And as you know, my wristband is a little scratched too. Remember the Dracula dio you so cooly hooked me up with? I never noticed it until a few weeks ago, but both of Renfield's feet appear to have been completely broken off and then glued back on before painting. The cracks are light and painted over with the original paint, but they go right around the front of both feet and you could tell they are there.

The fact in the matter is that QC simply is not in place and there's always going to be something wrong. If there isn't, your piece is in the minority.

Since April, I've received the EX Leonidas, EX T-800, EX Conan, and EX Patient Zero. The T-800 had a giant scratch right on the front of the base. It was positioned in the foam in a way that the person packing it had to know it was there. My EX Conan has a small "chip" in one of the stairs on the base, and it is painted over. My PZ probably would have been fine QC-wise, but they didn't use enough packing material and the band is lightly rubbed. It's gotten to a point where I've decided to only order with the idea in my head that there will be minor things wrong. This has also helped me decide against ordering many new items as well.

Thats the one of the worst feelings, opening a package thats broken. My 2 biggest broken statues were the Ex. Hulk/Spidey and the GG Animated Padme.

I have fixed a few, eventhough its never the same, if done good, no one will know. But that does suck.
